We are all young men here. How could we remember such dross.

 

I finally watched the "Live Forever" documentary about the Britpop scene.

I was surprised with how much emphasis many of the journalists and artists tied between music and government (The change from Tory to Labor) at the time.

Another thing is I understand how a lot of the Britpop movement was the rejection of Americanism in Britain. It seems the last few years I have been over there, there is a hell of a lot of american music dominating the air waves and in clubs. But this time it's mostly black American music. R&B with rap and older black American music seems to be very popular over there recently.

Some of that 70's era stuff is very obscure and very weird.
