He is playing well indeed, he just has to do it all season long, he's not attempting more shots than normal, he's just red hot right now. How I see the MVP race so far is... 1. Harden- Playing damn good defense and carried his team while Dwight was out. No I don't have him #1 because he's a Rocket, lots of people have him pegged as leading the race. 2. Curry- Some may have him ahead of Harden, he should be more like "1b" 3. Gasol 4. Davis- would be higher, but his team is mediocre at best. 5. Could be a lot of players...
Harden is playing very good. I don't know if Dwight actually holds him back though. We have to see what happens when he comes back.
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine 3m3 minutes ago Story going online details Celtics/Mavs talks in which Boston would get at least one first and blossoming center Brandan Wright for Rondo Would be good for Dallas although they'll lose Wright, who gave the Spurs many problems last playoffs.
Monta Ellis has QUIETED A lot of Doubters in his 2 Seasons as a Mav... He's MUCH More of a "Team" Guy than his Reputation Led Many to Believe...BECAUSE of Monta, Dirk Nowitzki's Able to Age GRACEFULLY, w/Out Having to Do the Heavy Lifting...If Monta & Rajon Rondo can Coexist ON (if Not Off) the Floor, they'll Immediately Become THE Best Backcourt in the NBA... EPIC Trade for the Mavs...Potentially THE Biggest Trade in Franchise History, if Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep Playoff Runs Become the Norm Over the Next 3-5 Years... REED Ain't Even a Maverick Fan, Per Se, but Being PRIVY to More of their Games than Any Other NBA Squad, & ALREADY Enjoying Watching the Mavs Play, he's VERY Excited about the Addition of Rondo.... REED:Bad:
Now all they need is to get rid of Felton and get some much needed bench support, especially on defense. I can't wait to see Rondo playing under Carlisle.
OKC Brings their League Best 7 Game Winning Streak to Golden State, Wondering if the League Best, 21-3 Warriors (Fresh Off a LOSS to Memphis) Want to "Come Out and Plaaaaayeeeeeeeyaaaah" Other than Opening Night, it DOESN'T Get Much Better Than This, EARLY in an NBA Regular Season... REED:elmo:
Add the Spurs-Griz epic last night to that as well. The West is soooooo far superior to the East its not funny. It seems like the gap just keeps getting bigger. Id favour Spurs, Griz, Thunder, Warriors, Clips, Mavs, Blazers and Rockets over the Raptors in a 7 game series.
Yeah their bench is not very good. I think they will miss Wright more than they thing, especially if T. Chandler gets hurt. Still, a great get for the Mavs, it has been reported the Rockets were talking to the Celtics for Rondo also, but only to drive up the price, (not a good fit next to Harden) Rocket's GM and Cuban hate each other. Mavs better hope Rondo don't bolt to the Lakers as Rondo will be a FA this summer... The suns probably are pissed right now, most likely, they will have to get rid of Dragic, he becomes a FA this summer too and isn't happy in Phx. That is who the Rockets are really after. Celtics didn't get much return, the Suns won't either. The Brewer & Turiaf to Rocket deal is all about done, 97.8% that gets done tomorrow. Turiaf is just filler.
They just had an epic cypher on Inside the NBA with Ernie Johnson spitting some bars Grant Hill pulled a Canibus though and took out a piece of paper
Let's pray to the basketball gods that we get GSW-OKC in the playoffs. and make it a 7 game series. ray:
The thing with Morey is that he's brilliant, and stupid at the same time. He could've had Lowry or Dragic right now. But he decided to get Lin instead.
I'm sure Cuban got some kind of reassurance, but Rondo was having lunch with Kobe last week and L.A. has money to blow, ya never know. I agree he most likely stays, but Cuban is going to have to pay up, maybe he shouldn't have paid Parsons 15 freaking million per ::
I'm not always right, but I'm right more than I'm wrong. Fucking Bosh last year made me look like an ass. :FU!: Rockets did get Brewer today along with Turiaf then send Turiaf to Philly for Shved. Why today? Because that's 8.3 million in player salaries he just added to the payroll that will be eligable for a trade right before Feb deadline. The last prediction I made last year I still stand by, Rockets are lining up for a PG and it was going to be one of three, but it looks like it will be Dragic. He will be a Rocket in February unless some other team offers the world.
I can't fault him for the Lowry trade, that guaranteed lotto pick was the centerpiece he sent to OKC for Harden. Now greed got him in the Dragic fiasco. The only reason Dragic signed with PHX, as both teams were offering the same contract, was PHX gave Dragic a player option in the last year, Morey wasn't going to give it to him. Turns out, it wasn't going to matter as Dragic blew up. Morey's biggest F up was 1st round pick for Terrence Williams. Not good. I'm not even mad, because not many GM's if any, can go from one era (Yao/Tmac) to another (Harden/Howard) without tanking, and he did just that in only a couple years. But, yeah, he's not mistake free by any means.
Right?? EVERY series (in the western conference) will be good. I won't even care too much if Lillard drains a 3 and bounces the Rockets again hahahaha There will be quality basketball until the Finals...
I guess the two high yella brothas playing down in GS slipped your mind, huh? Even if Thompson and Ellis are near the same tier, Curry is SEVERAL LEVELS better than Rondo ever was or ever will be.
