I think they should only give the May 2nd date for Mayweather if the opponent is Pacquaio and ONLY Pacquaio. There is talk that the fight might happen in September as to not conflict with the Mexican holiday, but don't everybody think that that's the fight they want to see the most also? And wouldn't mind at all if Manny fights on that date? Cotto said for him it's not an issue. And there is plenty of time to promote this fight for May 2nd for a fight that doesn't need any promotion...3,000,000 buys EASY...

I remember the UK cards would be choc-a-bloc with quality when there was a huge US fight. For Tyson-Holyfield 1 they had a British card featuring Naz, Benn, Collins and Eubank before switching to the States. For DLH-Quartey they had Calzaghe-Reid etc. if Mayweather-Pacquiao happens they have to do a similar thing, it's too big an event for them to not do it.

Anytime Floyd seems willing to fight Manny, then Arum has excuses. Then anytime Manny is willing to fight Floyd, Floyd has excuses.

If Floyd truly wants to fight Pac next then he should be doing MUCH, MUCH more to make the fight happen. It really is only lately that he has spoken of his interest to fight Pac next, but overall all he's really done is take digs at Pac to make us all think he wants nothing to do with him.

Organise an outdoor event where you can attract thousands of people to attend, but the theme of the event has to be something like "Mayweather-Pacquiao, May 2nd...Let's Get It Finally On!". Take it from there. Interact with the fans etc. Make everyone know how much he really wants to fight Pac. Invite Pac himself!

He's not afraid, physically. What's happened is he has fallen so far in love with the notion that he, and he alone, makes the rules, that he cannot bring himself to accommodate other parties.

Other than Morales-Pacquiao II, have Floyd and Manny ever been in the same room together? Surely that would go some way to proving intent. That goes both ways obviously.

Jesus, Matthysse might be fighting Ricky Burns next. I doubt that fight happens, but if Burns' handlers are aiming to cash out on him then they should also ask him to finalise his will.

Matthysse should carry him a few rounds just to get in the work.

But in all seriousness, he can blow away Burns at basically at point he chooses to step on the gas.

How likely is it that Floyd moves up to fight Cotto for his 160 WBC belt?

He's not afraid of Pacquaio. He is afraid of losing, of being defeated, as opposed to the beating that will lead to the defeat.

    Tautology.

What you should have said is: "Irish is like a a one-trick pony whose trick is being a dumb bigot"

If I am a one-trick pony, my trick must be my only trick. Hence no need for the "only". You could have left that out.

"Irish is a one-trick pony, whose trick is being a dumb bigot", would have been even better....would have made your point just as capably.

If Muhammad, Pubic Hairs Be Upon Him, had used this methodology, he could have reduced that big book of lies and rape and bigotry down to mere pamphlet size....
