Khan vs Alexander: Who wins this battle of eye cancers?

Discussion in 'General Boxing Discussion' started by Xplosive, Dec 8, 2014.

  1. You'rte a typical grumpy old cretin, living in the past who thinks everything was better the in the 'good old days'.
Just because Leonard stopped Hearns in Rd14, people never said "oh fuck. Tommy's done. He's chinny. He's been exposed."
Same thing after KO3 Hagler and KO3 Barkley.

They're still great fighters after being KO'd early or late.

Just because Khan has been stopped early twice doesn't make him any less of a boxer now than Hearns was back then.
People like you see Golovkin and Kovalev, get a hard-on for their KO % like you probably did Pavlik and lose your fucking marbles.

Unfortunately cdogg, your skewed-vision of boxing is stuck firmly in the past...
    Sad.

  2. Why?
    Explain it to me.

Don;t just come out with statements like an old-man and don't back it up: why would Leonard stop Khan inside 6?

Because Con has shit defense, terrible technique and a chin like your mom

Hearns was hit plenty of times by good punchers without hitting the ground or doing a Bambi on ice impersonation... This a pathetic troll on your part. You think I take your opinion on this seriously? Transparent wind-up that you always do when you get bored, like posting One Direction videos, golliwogs and freely tossing out "nagger" until someone bans you

I rank Garcia's win over Matthysse higher than Khan's win over Maidana. 1) because of how dominantly Garcia controlled and beat Matthysse and 2) because many (and many on here) predicted Matthysse to annihilate Garcia.

  9. And yet, Maidana has come back to have two high profile, full=distance-fights vs Floyd Mayweather.

He did, but I'm just saying, I rank Garcia's win higher.

I think if Garcia was to fight Mayweather, it's highly likely he'd go the distance with him.

I rate Joe Calzaghes win over Jeff Lacy higher than.....Joe Calzaghes win over Mikkel Kessler 1) because of how dominantly Calzaghe controlled and beat Lacy and 2) because many {and many on here} predicted Lacy to annihilate Calzaghe.

Of course, Kessler is and was a better fighter than Lacy, but I rate Joes win over Lacy higher than his win over Kessler.

Khan is a twat. He is fecking preposterous....it's impossible to humble the Kant. Come on though lads....the wanker seeks out the toughest fights out there and has a unique set of talents that make him relevant.

Anyone who laces them up deserves a wee bit of respect. Especially when your chubby as fuck

This forum is place that harbours real EXTREME opinions.

In this game it is the smallest of nuances that sets apart a 'great' or a 'good very good fighter'. The level of praise and abuse does not seem to correlate at all with the ability.

I love the cynicism of this board...a trait only too little in boxing circles these days. I sometimes think the bar is set way too high.... If a guy isn't fight like sweAt pea or yearns he is suddenly average.

    Your all great mind

This is a really silly argument, Hearns would've stopped Prescott and Garcia without any difficulty at all. The guys who KO'd Hearns would've also stopped Khan easily.

I do think Khan's chin may show itself to be better at WW than 135-140, similar to Cotto's. The guy was huge for 135 especially, I have no idea how he made that weight in his last couple fights there.

Lacy proved to be a shit fighter. Calzaghe proved to be better than many thought.

Kessler was a far superior fighter to Lacy. Defeating him took more talent and skill. It's a much better win.

We could literally sit here allllll day and list middles/supermiddles in history who would beat ten shades of shit outta Lacy.

According to Irish, Lacy would beat Froch

Now we all know Irish doesn't really believe that bullshit but he's got to keep up the America-in-cahoots-we-all-hate-waldpussy-and-white-euros narrative

cryrish is the most transparent piece of shit here. him thinking the lacy win was more impressive is no surprise. same reasoning behind why he was more impressed by the beating of rodney king than that of reginald denny.

Agreed, Kessler is FAR and away the better win, the 2 aren't even comparable. Lacy is horrible, Kessler is several leagues above him.

Kessler, I always thought he was overrated, but he is a good fighter. A good, solid fighter with some skill. Fairly tough too.

Kessler is an excellent fighter, it's just Calzaghe is even more brilliant and ruined him so that Ward and Froch had a broken fighter in front of them subsequently

    LOL. He can't be serious.

Froch woulda beat the Hell outta Lacy.

Don't panic Irish, that doesn't mean Froch would beat Joe.

For the record, Calz would have beaten Froch.

How does your boy, DeGale, fair against Calzaghe?
