Yeah that was great. The whole thing was ridiculous/hilarious. The scene in the plane when 'egon' is high on acid pretending to be a military intelligence officer and starts singing doo-wa-diddy at the captain

Nightcrawler I finally watched the whole thing and had a terrible headache by the time it ended. I agree with TKO's review that it is like 30 minutes too long (to me the film came alive at the last 30 minutes). Gyllenhaal performance has 'Oscar Winner' written all over it which might elevate the film for Oscar contention, but as it is deserves a 7/10

The Interview - I didn't want to watch this but the girlfriend had other plans. Like usual in this situation I wound up liking it more than she did. It wasn't a hilarious movie but James Franco was pretty funny in it. I didn't even mind Seth Rogan so much and I did LOL almost to the point of tears during one scene. At the same time even though it was a pretty funny film, I wouldn't sit through it again and I don't feel that I would be missing out on anything had I never watched it. 6/10

47 Ronin - Better then I thought it would be, and not as good as it could have been. If they had just let the Japanese actors speak their native language and given us subtitles, and had Keanu Reeves replaced by somebody who didn't take acting lessons from construction supplies......this might have been classic Japanese mythology fare. As it is, it was a watchable action movie. 6.5/10

Every scene was kinda horrible. I remember i made a poll a while back on whether Denzel or Day lewis was better and it came in as a landslide for the latter - you're all wrong.

Lewis is better. Only because Denzel is just Denzel. It's him. We go to the movies to see Denzel be himself. Lewis plays actual characters

To be fair, the "There Will Be Blood" character wasn't a whole lot different than Bill The Butcher

I wonder if DDL enjoyed watching...

    The King Of Kong 7.5/10

An entertaining docu-drama about various nerdy dudes competing earnestly for the highest score ever on a Donkey Kong game (the actual arcade version from the early 80s) ... Definite good guy/bad guy dynamic. Includes a memorable scene featuring one of the bad guy's most pathetic, dorky sycophants doing all he can to sabotage the good guy upstart, essentially pwning himself for all time as one of the most transparent, passively churlish, uber-nerds ever recorded on film... Truly odd, awkward, dorky people who take this shit as serious as cancer... I've heard that there are some inaccuracies on this, but I don't care enough about the subject to be concerned... Definitely enjoyable for a casual viewer with no attachment to arcades.

And neither was anywhere near as convincing or scary as Denzel in Training day

Nu'uh! Even Denzel's characters in American Gangster and Training Day were way different.

I disagree somewhat. Bill The Butcher was an over the top in his antics. Right from the get go. TWBB character slowly transformed into a nut. And his Lincoln was unbelievable.
