Froch's after a Vegas showdown to finish off his glistening career and he's targeted Chumpez Jr as his opponent, but what about GGG?
GGG's recently called out Froch, has he not? My understanding is GGG's name doesn't carry the same weight as Chumpez's so Froch wouldn't get the same coinage from fighting him, or am I wrong? Froch-GGG has the potential to do big numbers, surely. Froch's well known in America, largely due to competing in the Super Six World Boxing Classic, and GGG's name (and reputation as a formidable power-puncher), is growing with each passing fight. It would certainly be no wald pussy type hug fest, either.

    Thoughts?

nah, Froch's far from a coward, but I do recall one interview where he stated that GGG should be avoided like the plague.

Not in Vegas. But it would do 40,000 in England.

Froch is old and semi-retired. It's a dumb fight for him - won't make a huge amount of cash and probably loses. Would have been a cracking fight five years back.

But even though it's a fight unlikely to happen because of the Froch/Chumpez Jr situation, facing Froch is a step in the right direction for GGG in terms of becoming a big star. Froch's name holds some weight. It could surprise you and do better on PPV than you expect. It's a matchup many on social media are debating AND want to see.

100-150K ppv...in the states n that been generous. Might do a whole lot better in the UK....if it's pay per view..

N of course it's a good fight if it happen...GGG hasn't found tomato cans..he has fought can openers....his comp is SHiT...at this point old ass Abraham would be good opponent.

Those PPV numbers would be shocking. It would go down a treat over here in the UK though, 100%.

GGG's facing Martin Murray next, but even if he demolishes him inside the distance it's expected and ''just another routine win'' on his resume.

SHOCKING? as in GOOD? Because like i said I'm being generous...i doubt it even sells 100K...maybe if it was price let say $30-40 dollars with a half decent undercard with some mejican names it might sell....otherwise bomb....

GGG is a victim of his own HYPE....

    Shocking as in shockingly poor.

The big fights have not yet come for GGG but it's good he's keeping active. I'm sure he'll get the fight he's been craving sometime in 2015, but beating Canelo and/or Cotto won't do him any good...that's the feeling I get anyway. By this I mean the lack of credit he'd get from beating those two guys just mentioned.

The risk far outweighs the reward. GGG isn't known to casual fans, Froch is looking to cash out and retire, Golovkin makes no sense

The difference is Floyd should be held to a higher standard than Froch.

Floyd is an all time great, and considers himself TBE.

Froch is simply a good fighter, who likely won't even make the HOF (even though he has more claim to it than bum ass Gatti).

The standards they're held by are different and rightfully so.

Carl fought all and sundry, no one could blame him for seeking this handy check-out fight.

Neil is a confused Asian midget. Pay him no heed.

Froch has fought better pfp comp than Floyd and would still be a massive test for Golovkin.

I mean Golovkin is not a massive threat like...say.....Khan's left overs or the totally awesome Roberto Fliphone or the even more totally awesome and undersized and paid-off JMM...but he is a a good fight for Carl to take, now that Carl is in the prime of his life and has had no hard fights or anything.

Froch would settle down in Framingham, Mass with a food truck selling "Fritters and Franks by Froch" within a fortnight of being battered silly by GGG

I find it silly that most don't give Froch any chance in this matchup. This would pretty much be a pick em fight imo, Probably even lean toward Froch.

Froch would stick out his farmers jab and I bet GGG would have issues.

This version of Froch should be considered the favourite over GGG. His level of comp speaks for itself. He's faced adversity a number of times where GGG hasn't, and he's the bigger man who can take a good shot.

Saying that Froch wouldn't have a chance against GGG is an exaggeration considering GGG has yet to face a guy on Froch's level. But to actual FAVOR Froch? No fuckin way. GGG is by FAR the more talented, and more skilled of the two, and should rightfully be favored.

I maintain my prediction. Froch would hold his own for a few rounds, but then GGG takes over and gives Froch a bad beating.
