Interestingly enough...you left out an important part of the story...

    http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/01/05/dean-blandino-party-bus-dallas-cowboys

NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said Monday that his infamous party bus incident from August "had nothing to do" with the controversial no-call in Sunday's NFC Wild Card game between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions.

“That’s something that, it happened, one has nothing to do with the other. I understand why some people might look at that,” Blandino said, according to Pro Football Talk. “But it’s just something that has nothing to do with how the game was officiated.”

Blandino was referencing an August video from TMZ.com that showed a man looking very much like himself on a party bus with Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones, son of team owner Jerry Jones. That would indicate an obvious conflict of interest, and Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com reportedshortly thereafter that NFL and team officials were "irate" after seeing the video. Blandino, however, was never reprimanded.

    REED....

Does Dallas not REEDtire numbers? Why did Dez get Irvin's number? I've always been curious about that.

Instead of Taking Liberties w/What You THINK REED Said, He'll Spell it Out For You...

There was Enough 2-Way, Mutual Contact on the Play in Question to Warrant a NO Call...The BACK Judge, aka, the Guy Fuuuuuuuurthest from the Play, is the one that Threw the Flag...The LINE Judge is the one that Overruled, Because he had a BETTER View than the Guy Nearly 50 Fucking YARDS from the Scene of the Crime...

Bottom Line, it's NOT Against the Rules to Face Guard a Guy, It IS Against the Rules for ANY Player to Grab the Facemask of an Opposing Player, ALWAYS...Literally, 3-4 DIFFERENT Things Could've Been Called, From the Moment the Ball was Snapped to the Moment the Flag was Thrown...

But NATHAN was Called Which, Given the Scenario, was Probably THE BEST Thing that Could've Happened...If People Want to MENSTRUATE Over the Flag Being Thrown, then Picked Up, Whatever...Detroit had MORE than 8 Minutes, AFTER that Play, to DO Something About It...

Saying the Lions were "Robbed", while Completely IGNORING the FACT Pettigrew FACEMASKED Hitchens, SHITS on that Notion...You Simply CANNOT Bitch & Moan about a Rescinded Penalty when BOTH Players Committed Infractions...

& Getting into DEGREES of Penalties is Splitting Hairs...If Any Team BUT "America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys, were on the Receiving End of a Call like this, it WOUDN'T Get 3/4th's the Attention it Has....

Sooooooo, Say What You Want to Say, but "America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys are Off to Green Bay...

"America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys have a "Ring of Honor", In Lieu of Retiring Numbers...

Dez Rocks 88 as an Homage to Michael Irvin, who Wore it as an Homage to Drew Pearson...HIGHLY Drafted Receiver's are Typically Anointed 88...

In a Weird Twist of Fate, the Parcells Era Cowboys Drafted a Guy Named Antonio Bryant, Gave him 88, yet he Flamed Out in a Couple Years...Luckily, Those that were DUMB Enough to Buy Antonio Bryant Jersey's were Bailed Out by DEZ Bryant Becoming a Baller....TONS of "Bryant 88" jersey's were Dusted Off, 1nce Dez Surfaced...

The Cowboys have Done Likewise w/Hall of Famer, Randy White's, 54, in Regards to Linebackers they Think HIGHLY Of...

Having Said That, REED Can't Recall ANYBODY Rocking Staubach's 12 or Aikman's 8, Since they Played...Emmitt's (& "Bullet" Bob Hayes') 22 Might Be OFF the Shelf as Well....Still Won't OFFICALLY Be Retired Though...

    I agree.

I agree with that too. It is also against the rules for a defensive player to grab the jersey of a receiver, which happened first and should have been called defensive holding.

I agree. I've said all along that the refs did a terrible job and lots of calls were missed.

The best thing that could have happened would have been the the actual first foul, defensive holding, or at the very least, offsetting penalties.

If people want to menstruate over the facemask not being called, whatever....

Again, I agree and have said a few times already that the non call isn't what cost Detroit the game.

I never said the Lions were 'robbed'.

But only if you completely ignore the fact that there was defensive pass interference on the play before the facemask.

C'mon now. That's just ridiculous. Nothing worse than a homer with a victim mentality. Had the ref not thrown the flag, announced the penalty and began moving the chains, then it wouldn't get 3/4 the attention it got and would be just another bad call. But the ref threw the flag, announced the penalty, they began moving the chains, then picked up the flag with no explanation. That's why this is getting the attention it's getting.

    1. THE Absolute BEST Thing Happened...NATHAN Ended Up Being Called...There's DOCUMENTED Instances of Enough 2-Way Contact to IGNORE it All & Move On to the Next Play, No Matter WHICH Infraction Preceded the Other...

    2. WHO's Menstruating Over the Facemask NOT Being Called???:dunno:...REED's Applauding NATHAN Being Called...

    3. Since When is the 1st Infraction Anymore Important than Those that Follow, in a SERIES of Penalties???:dunno:...

    4. "Victim Mentality"???...REED's Favorite Team just ADVANCED to the Second Round of the Playoffs, Fuuuuurther Bolstering their Claim as a TRUE Super Bowl Contender...There's Posters on this Site PERPETUALLY Vocalizing Expectations of Teams that HAVE YET to Ever Do what "America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys Accomplished Yesterday...

When REED Logged On After the Game, Posters were Standing in Line Speaking that LAME "Robbed", "Worse Call of the Game" Bullshit...NOBODY Made Mention of Hitchens being FaceMasked UNTIL REED Pointed it Out w/Video...

It's Called PROVING your Point...Rest Assured, REED's Waaaaaaaaaaay Toooooo EXCITED about the "Ice Bowl II", to Concern Himself w/a "Victim Mentality...Don't Get it Twisted...

reed can we expect another diatribe about how playoff games shouldnt be played in the elements, even though theoretically it should benefit the cowboys who have a more physical running team and better oline?

If that's the case, then the best thing would have been offsetting penalties and the down played over again.

The cowboys caught a break. A big one. It happens.

How are Offsetting Penalties BETTER than No Penalty at All???...

Both Guys were Touchy Feely on the Play, Neither of Them Gained an Advantage from it...

At the End of the Day, NATHAN was Called and Rightfully So...

I Hope you Enjoy the "Ice Bowl II". REED knows he Will...

Because both players committed fouls, so it should have been, at the very least, offsetting penalties.

Penalties or no penalties aside, the story of the game should be Matthew Stafford fumbling (twice) on the final drive, and DeMarcus Lawrence making one of the most boneheaded plays in the history of Playoff football and following it up with complete redemption about half a dozen plays later.

That was an amazing moment, Cowboys fan or not.

The best part of the scrutiny over the non-calls/pro-dallas calls is the refs will swing the other way in Green Bay.

    Dallas undefeated on the road...

    Green Bay undefeated at home...

    Somebody's "0" has to go!

Yep. Make no mistake about it, this is a great matchup. The two highest rated passers in the NFL doing battle.

The problem for the Cowboy is that they get to the QB as little as almost any team in the league. It would be nice if they could exploit that calf injury of Rodgers but with their own injuries up front, they just don't have the horses to do it.

I will be pulling for the Cowboys as always, but this one has me worried.
