FOX is negotiating with Ryan Reynolds to finally star in the long delayed Deadpool movie to be released on 2016. A character whose origins we watched in Wolverine: Origins

 

Okay is now official: Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool, the film has a release date of February 12, 2016.

 

Both sides have been knocking it out of the park in regards to casting. I've always liked Doctor Strange. Interesting character.


DC went all in with Suicide Squad.

 

Word. I had zero interest in watching a Suicide Squad movie, but they had an excellent ensemble cast. Cumberbatch is a great choice for Doctor Strange, more so than Joaquin Phoenix. And for continuity sake I am glad Fox hired Reynolds. I just hope they keep Deadpool with his mask on and not go the Wolverine/Jackman route to keep him without a mask.

 

Marvel casting rumours: Shailene Woodley (Divergent, The Fall in Our Stars) has expressed interest in being cast in a Marvel film. She states that she would love to be in a Marvel movie.

Al Pacino admitted he has been in talks with Marvel to be cast in an undisclosed film. He did not reveal what kind of role he could be playing if an agreement is reached.

 

In the Sony hacked e-mails leaked to the media it is revealed that Sony & Marvel were seriously negotiating to bring back Spiderman to Marvel with a 60/40 split joint production. Marvel was going to be handling the creative control of the character and Sony was going to handle the distribution. One thing Marvel asked was to change the actor, so that was going to be bad news for Andrew Garfield. Another thing Marvel wanted was to have a total fresh start, consider all previous films as non-canonicals, but that their Spidey would start as an already estabished superhero with Peter Parker as a photographer (which is good thing because no one wants to watch a third origins film).

Unfortunately the talks fell through after no agreement was reached on both the financial and creative aspects (Sony wanted the bigger piece of the pie PLUS creative control to which marvel basically responded most likely with a metaphorical 'fuck you!').

Yeah, Sony just don't freaking get it: the Marvel formula for success is to bring a creative team of writers, directors, producers that respect the characters and try to remain as faithful to its source as possible while the studio gives them a budget and stay out of their way. Sony's formula is to screw the character and change everything as much as their board of directors deem necessary per their marketing statistics.

 

The deal is still alive Panchy. SONY JAPAN has the final say and they still want to negotiate.

 

Well, I just read that one of Sony's Chairman, is pushing for a Spiderman reboot sans Marvel involvement of any kind and his suggestions for the reboot are identical to what Marvel was proposing: new creative team, fresh restart with no origin storyline, Peter Parker as an adult...in other words, Sony met with Marvel representatives, stole their ideas and then proceeded to kill the negotiations.

Reliable sources at Disney revealed this morning that Marvel got the rights back to Spiderman!! There was suspicion of that as Spidey was showing in some Disney promos for certain toys and the video game 'Disney Infinity 2.0' which raised suspicions a deal was done with Sony. And more: the Disney Spidey action figure has a striking resemblance to Logan Lerman ('Fury'), the actor Marvel expressed interest in casting as Spiderman!!! The Disney source revealed that Marvel has begun plans on an entirely new Spiderman movie franchise to be released on 2017 or 2018 and possibly poping up a cameo in Captain America 3: Civil War!!!

Latest net rumour? Batman v Superman is being split into TWO movies and part 1 will be released this year instead of March 2016 as originally announced! Batman v Superman: Enter The Knight to be released on October 23, 2015 and Dawn of Justice keeps the announced date of March 2016.

In other news, CBS will be launching a SuperGirl tv series made by the same dude who produced CWs Arrow & Flash. Even though these shows are in rival networks, the producer stated there will be crossover episodes between the three characters.

Latino Spidey needs to get deported out of the Marvel universe.

 

They have a great track record nailing 90% of their reports. They reported a year ago Marvel's plan for a Black Panther movie and a Doctor Strange movie and it turned out t be correct. They also reported first that Marvel was getting back the rights for Daredevil, but not Fantastic Four. Accurate again. They claim to have an 'inside reliable source' at Marvel, apparently is true.

 

I misread that post. I thought they were bringing the Latino Spiderman into the Marvel universe.

 

Fuck rumors. I don't want to hear the story about the guy who is about to sign, I only want to hear the story about the guy who did sign. Because if he doesn't sign and somebody else does, well now I just wasted my time reading some crap that didn't even happen and that cuts into my call of duty time.

 

I saw a MAJOR SPOILER for the Ultron movie. Really disappointing what happens. Highlight for the spoiler. The Vision kills Ultron.
