I'd be curious to see GGG deal with a big, strong, aggressive guy like Froch or Chavez. I dont know that he can replicate what Pac did vs Plasterino, put it that way

I don't think Chavez would beat Murray.

Chavez BARELY could handle Brian fucking Vera!

How in the fucking WORLD is he gonna handle Golov?

Like I'd said, I'd MUCH rather see GGG vs Cotto or Canelo than Chavez Junior.

It'd be more interesting to watch Golov fight a smaller guy with ability than just a big punching bag like Junior.

In fact, I'd rather see Golov fight Lemeiux. At least Lemeiux has explosive power. Chavez Junior doesn't even have the firepower to deter GGG.

What's great about Golovkin's attack is he doesn't have a "money punch" that he regularly tries to set up, let alone relies on. Even among most fighters with two fisted power there is usually a punch opponents are always on the lookout for. Take that away from them and you've went a long way to stifling their offense.

Straight punches/wide punches, right hand/left hand, from distance or up close it doesn't matter. GGG will hit you with everything and those shots aren't just to earn points with the judges. They have power.

I really like the pressure of Golovkin, and his arsenal of punches. He's not the most fast and athletic guy out there, but he's so skilled that he can pretty much land at will on anybody. What I also really like, is that as soon as his opponent has a bit of success, he violently turn the table on them. Against Murry for example, after 2 rounds, it seems it would be a competitive fight. But, he turned up the pressure in the 3rd, and it was a mismatch afteward. I think that pretty much the only question mark left is his chin. With his style, he will get caught flush once in a while, it will be interesting to see how he'll react when a big puncher land the same overhand rights that powder puff murray landed.

The Term "Puncher's Chance" Aptly Describes Lemieux's Hopes of Beating GGG, Because it's his 1 & ONLY Chance...

2 Big Bangers Bumping Heads Almost Always Results in a Brief, Explosive Bout...This Matchup Would Be No Different...If the Over/Under was Set @ 5 Rounds, REED Would Bet UNDER...

For Better or Worse, David Lemieux ISN'T Gunshy, Which Will Likely Lead to Him Being VIOLENTLY Taken Out by Golovkin...But in the Process, we'll LEARN New Things about GGG...We Already Know Dude Isn't Chinny, but Lemieux Would Illustrate the LEVEL of his Punch Resistance...

Hopefully that's the Next Fight on the GGG Docket...

Yep, Instead of Focusing on a PARTICULAR Punch, GGG Opponents Have to Instead Worry about NOT Getting Hit, Altogether...

What for?? You know Cotto will start strong as he almost always does, but by the 6th round he'll be a sitting duck. You want to see Cotto vs GGG? Watch Cotto - Margarito 1. Same outcome. They have similar hand speed, and GGG's skills are better. There's nothing to see there.

What for? Because Cotto's a HOFmer with actual TALENT and SKILL.

Cotto doesn't draw with fighters the caliber of Brian Vera.

Only Golovkin FANS Want to See him vs. Cotto...

Everyone Else KNOWS Cotto's NOT a Middleweight & Rightfully Sees that Bout for What it Is...A MISMATCH...

But w/Canelo Facing Kirkland & Floyd/Pac Meeting Each Other, that Leaves Cotto w/NO Dance Partner in the Foreseeable Future...If HBO Ponies up ENOUGH Money, we Just May See Cotto-GGG in Early June...

No one is going to come forward eating punches against Gaybox, even a tough punching bag bro that outweighs him like Chavez.

Even the toughest fighters have their punch output dropped dramatically in the face of elite offense.

Gaybox Vs Chavez is only interesting if you want to see that mook get beaten senseless, which I do happen to, but as a matchup I don't find it interesting at all. He'll plod forward, get bludgeoned in 1 sided fashion, and get stopped late on.

I think very few people would pick Cotto over Golovkin but it's one of those matchups that should happen. Similar to Mayweather vs Baldomir. Nobody thought Baldo would beat Floyd but it needed to be done. At least with GGG-Cotto it will be entertaining unlike the snoozefest that was Floyd-Bumdomir.

Uuuuuh, Because Instead of Being Approximately 2 Weight Classes Tooooo SMALL for GGG (Like Cotto Is), Chavez Jr. is Actually the BIGGER Man...

Besides, Chavez Jr will be lucky if he ever makes 175 again. He's not getting down to 168.

I dont even give lemieux a puncher chance against ggg. The guy couldnt even hurt Alcine, who is as chinny as they come. Sure he might have improved since then, but hell have to do more than abuse an used up Rosado to make me change my mind on him

Sonny Liston was a somewhat handsome cat, in a rugged sort of way.

Not a pretty boy like Ali or DLH, but not a hideous lookin dude like Iran Barkley or Leon Spinks.

    This...

Liston had that "MAN'S Man", Rugged, Underrated Handsomeness...Similar to Young Foreman, Hagler or Duran, as Opposed to that Hollywood, Movie Star, Boy Band, Pretty Boy Look...Having a Bodybuilders PHYSIQUE, Back when Virtually NO ONE Did, Helped as Well...

Ali was the Type that Women of ALL Races/Nationalities Found Handsome...A CERTIFIED Pussy Magnet...Not a Fair Comparison...

It's not absurd. Jones is the only one I'd pick over GGG. Hagler an even bout. Hopkins never beat anyone as good as GGG at middle and would lose to GGG clearly. Think about Hagler Duran. GGG is way better than that shithead Duran was at that time.
