I refrained from a prediction in this fight because I couldn't remember anything about Murray's prior fights. 11 more rounds, still can't. His performance is greatly overrated. He didn't try to win and got his ass handed to him. I liked the comparison to Chavez Sr for GGG. They do have similar attributes. GGG is a very good puncher, but he's more like Chavez than Kovalev. He might be a tick better puncher than Chavez Sr, but his punch selection is weaker. He makes up for it by throwing more. That stupid hook over the top is a pretty lame punch, though. More like a Darchinyan punch than a p4p guy should be throwing. Lots of guys beat Murray at middle, including Quillin.
Another classy performance from Golovkin, destroying a guy that beat Martinez. Golovkin is the MW Champ, no arguments.
GGG would make mincemeat of Floyd. How the fuck are guys like GGG supposed to get this vaunted, all important pfp status when they can't get the fights......and then the reason they don't get the fights is because..........they aren't "Marquee enough". Jesus wept. This fucking Maravilla was a PFP legend and he FLAT LOST to Murray, who was destroyed by GGG. GGG has turned in VASTLY superior performances vs guys that Maravilla had serious issues with.
Because he wants legendary status, like Henry Armstrong....because he's fighting a guy who turned pro a lot further south than Floyd did.....:dunno:
Very good fight between GGG the Greatest and Murray. Props to Murray, he gave it everything and looked very good in spells, GGG is just on another level to him. Definitely the best fighter GGG has faced to date.
GGG's Pom Pom Squad is CONTENT w/Him Beating Up Fringe "Name" Middleweights or SMALLER Guys like Cotto/Canelo... They DON'T Even Want him Moving Up to '68, Nevermind Considering '75... REED:mj:
:: If Floyd fought him, and got his ass beat, as he surely would, then I would have no problem asking GGG face Kovalev. Of course, having beaten Floyds ass, GGG would now be a "PPV Superhero Credit Card Hotline".........and could dictate to all and sundry. He wouldn't have to fight anyone. He could do what he liked, as he saw fit. I know how it works. Of course, Floyd won't do it. So instead, GGG has to go fighting much bigger men, as he can't pull the stunt of beating midgets. Ironically, with all this PPV bullshit floating around.....he;s smacked the shit out of two guys who had Marvilla on his ass. Cotto wants NO part of him. No part. Floyd instead will get a title fight outdoor for the MW Title....without going near Golovkin....who is instead told to go and fight bigger men....while midgets, the same midgets he is not "attractive" enough, not enough of a PPV draw, to fight..fight for his title, under his nose, without going near him. This, apparently, is the "Capital" of "World Boxing".
It is Mike talking shit, and people using his smokescreen of shit to deflect away from the pertinent issues.

This fucking moron, Garcia Sr, espouses the sort of fucktard sentiments that a lot of the American boxing public buy into. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/P8HqG8F3ahQ?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I respect GGG wanting to clean up 160 and don't understand why he should be ridiculed for wanting to do that. He wants the WBC belt more than anything, it just so happens Cotto holds the belt...that's not Golovkin's fault. Cotto won it fair and square. We'll see Golovkin continue to fight at 160 this year, IMO.
Why did Maravilla fight Cotto and not Golovkin...cos there was "more money". Honestly at times boxing today looks as bad as it did in the 1950's it's just the fighters today act like the managers of then. GGG would burst Cotto and Maravilla on the same night. Cotto won't risk it. They'll hold out, saying that he;s not a big enough name, and when Cotto loses to Floyd, Floyd will say GGG is not a big enough name..........and it will keep going. GGG is the Hagler of his time in one sense..........he can't get fights.
It's crazy to think of GGG moving up to 175 to fight, even considering him facing Kovalev! Golovkin's not even a big middleweight.
Those two immigrant cunts need to move up and down and go away and beat the shit out of each other on ESPN for chump change. Leave the real MW title to the two former Light-Welters with the PPV credentials.
Also he lacks PPV Force. You forgot that bit. Why is he even in our country taking our belts. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/e--NYy92w4c?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
and this is the reason why GGG won't get the Cotto fight. Golovkin's best chance of getting a shot for the WBC 160 belt is if Cotto decides to call it a day and vacates (which is possible).
He won't get the Cotto fight because he will kick the shit out of him and totally expose him for the fraud he is at 160, and then Floyd is out of a big historic payday at 160 and so is Cotto.
A part of me believes GGG's team made the Murray fight because they knew Murray was a big dude at the weight and it would be a solid, perfect test before moving up to 168 next.
So basically, the elite fighter at the weight has to fuck off to 168lbs, to prove himself to get a shot at 160. FFS.
