Deadline trades: Celtics get Suns' Thomas for Thornton, pick Thunder trade Reggie Jackson to Pistons in three-teamer Bucks get MCW, Plumlee, Ennis in three-team trade Suns trade Goran Dragic to Heat, sources say Nets trade Garnett back to Timberwolves Sources: Nuggets trade JaVale McGee to Sixers Source: Kings to trade Sessions for A. Miller Sources: Blazers acquire Afflalo from Denver
What a crazy day!! So many teams improved!! Houston's offer for Dragic was better than the Heat's. But was eventually pulled off the table. Ty Lawson talks went nowhere, as someone stated earlier, they were asking for the moon for him. So we end up with Prigioni and K.J. McDaniels. We needed another playmaker that could shoot the 3, that is exactly what Prig is, but at 38 years old? K.J is intriguing, but I have no idea where he fits in. Rockets were going for Afflalo, but I think his problems that he's had with the ladies and team mates didn't help. Basically the dude will fuck a team mate's chick/wife in a heartbeat and has at least tried a few times. The Heat, will be the Lakers of now in a few years if they give Dragic that max extention. Bosh is already maxed out and maybe in decline, Wade IS in decline and Dragic is 29. They will be paying Bosh & Dragic a combined 60 million when they are in their mid 30's. The clock is already ticking. Biggest playoff team tradeline deal winner- OKC- looking forward to GS vs OKC in the first round. Not sure GS is Biggest non playoff team tradeline deal winner- Philly- That team has so many draft picks and young players they could make an offer for ANYONE in the NBA and make the GM hesitate and stutter. They will be a very very good team in time. Possible buyouts to look for- DWill, was more likely if Nets got Reggie. Larry Sanders. Kevin Martin, Javale McGee, J. Crawford, Perkins, Prince, Boozer, Gary Neal, Thomas Robinson ,
The salary cap will go up once the new TV deal is on, so Dragic on a max contract would actually be a bargain. Which explains why Bron didn't sign a long term contract.
Chris Bosh out with a possible blood clot in his lungs. Weird since Jerome Kersey died a couple of days ago because of blood clots.
He would be a bargain if he wasn't a 7 year vet. He's seeking a "super max" contract. For instance, Harden's max started at around 12.7 mill, Parsons started at 14.7 mill. Because Goran has been in the league longer, his max is eligible to start at the 20-22mill range with 7% annual raises. If it's the 5 year max that he wants, they will be paying Dragic close to 30 mill in the last few years of that contract. Dragic is a damn good player, I wanted him on the Rockets again, but for that price, no. If he does get that 5 year super max contract, he will be making twice as much as Steph Curry, and a few mill more than Chris Paul. That's one reason the Rocket's pulled their offer off the table. Someone will give it to him this summer.
Such a talented kid, too. But his high impact, athletic style of play doesn't help him. If he would be less aggressive and be more of a pass-first PG, I think he'd help himself a lot to avoid some of these injuries.
Rose Did Everything RIGHT this Time Around, Too... Used the U.S. Men's Team to Get his Legs Under him, w/Thibodeaux's CLOSE, Watchful Eye...Made Consistent Strides to the Degree he was Playing like the Ol' Derrick Rose, More Times than Not, by the All-Star Break... & Now THIS... SAD Shit... REED:blackcloud:
Only thing I could suggest he do is get traded to the Phoenix Suns. He needs a top notch medical team on top of his health 24/7, may as well go with the best in the league. It seems far fetched but I really think that is one of the few ways he could probably ensure he spends less time in rehab and more time on the court. His other option is to just hope his health comes around. Either way, I'm not even sure it's a good idea for him to come back this season.
If you appreciate defense as much as me, you'll just love Andrew Wiggins. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kJnarXYrFSs?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Latest Thunder post: I'm happy with the trade. I didn't hate Perkins as much as last year but getting Kanter who is 10 times better is definitely a plus. Meanwhile I don't think I've seen a single OKC game without thanking the basketball gods at least once that we swapped Sefalosha with Morrow. I don't know much about the other guys we got, but so far it looks like we're playing a more team oriented brand of basketball that has everyone fooled. I ain't buying it though, the only reason we're playing like this is because right now we're playing teams that aren't dangerous and threatening. Put us up against some of the top teams and we'll start chucking and ball hogging again I bet. At the same time I got this funny feeling like the Thunder might win the championship. All evidence points to the Warriors but if we or any other team beats them...

Not Westbrook he hasnt, maybe the Thunder though. Regardless of the outcome here, there isnt any one better to watch in the NBA than Westbrook. He so ferocious out there, night in night out.
OT here we come. Bledsoe has been great tonight as well. Great fun watching these two go head to head.
he's relentless but its taken him almost 40 shots to get his points tonight. only 15 shots for bledsoe
Agree about Bogut. I was watching the game against San Antonio the other night and thinking the same thing. He's not the best player on the team by a longshot, but he is a linchpin rim protector and defender. Similar to Ibaka for OKC. Of course Bogut is older and a lot more fragile then Ibaka.
