Relatively speaking, I would stand by that. For all intents and purposes, I believe that. If you got 1000 black guys rooting for Manny out of 10,000 black guys, where;s the different...... .....I mean, if you want to find one black guy rooting for Manny and call me a liar, then have at it.
I'm asking you to prove a positive assertion, you respond with asking me to prove a negative the man has stated he does not like Floyd Mayweather for years... He has been one of his most vocal critics on this board for several years now. You are refusing to take him at his word because he is a black man and is not fitting into your mold of who a black man is. That's all there is to it.
There's nothing relative about zero. You've got three guys in a few pages that either are rooting against Floyd or don't care who wins ... Right in front of you...
Far from it, I am not refusing to accept his word simply because he is black..........He is black, has a history of supporting Floyd, is an American, is an African American, knows this is for all the marbles, has said Manny was on drugs, Chinese Whispers............and, notwithstanding his duly noted disquiet regarding Floyd and Floyds shctiklah, it seems fair to me that, blood being thicker than water, it is hard for me to believe that he wants Floyd to lose. To suggest that I have merely sat here and said "He is black, he is lying" is entirely unfair and defeats exchanges rather than promotes them.
Do you believe that the majority of African Americans, that being the class of Black people with whom you are most familiar, will root FOR or AGAINST Floyd Mayweather come fight night.
The African American Black Mike Spinks who sat at ringside cheering on his fellow African American Kirk Johnson, yeah, that Mike "Water be thicker than Blood" Spinks.
I'm done with you on this... Anybody that's bothered to READ REED on here knows he's a Floyd critic all the way and has been for ages... You seem to think he's Sly or someone else
People that buy TMT hats will root for him, people who don't follow boxing will root for him... I'd say the majority of Americans will root for him with a large minority of people who'd like to see him humbled because he's such a jackass and another group of people who just hope the fight is exciting and don't care who wins ... I think there will be a variety of colors and creeds in each of those groups... I suspect that most of the black people who like Floyd root for him because they actually like him or they see him as the best... Were they racially motivated rooting for him against Shane Mosley?
Of course not, anymore than the likes of you are racially motivated when you tune in hoping to see one of Wlads white opponents knock him out. Mosley, of course, would be a far preferred Victor than Pacquaio.
I have seen very little to suggest that the preponderance of African American folk would depart from their Countryman, no matter how rude his behaviour, especially where to do so would involve hoping a FUCKING KOREAN DOG EATER got the W.
Does CONTEXT Mean Anything to You??? "As for Reed hating Floyd, Reed has done a fine enough job telling everyone what a big deal this would be for Floyd if he beat Manny." Those are YOUR Words that REED Responded To...NOWHERE Within REED's "Best Fighter of his Era" Post was REED Nuthugging or Race Loving Floyd...It was a SIMPLE Statement of Fact that ANY Non-Biased Watcher of Boxing Could Ascertain... But as Usual, YOU Went Waaaaaaaaay Left Field w/Presumptions... REED:kidcool:
If REED Wanted Floyd to Win or was Rolling with "The Brother", just for the Sake of it, REED Would have NOfuckingQUALMS about Admitting It... The Post Above Speaks Volumes about How Close Minded, Sheltered and IGNORANT You Genuinely Are... REED
I could accept some, at least a part, of a charge that I a close-minded. That I am "ignorant and sheltered" could not be further from the truth.
You've Illustrated Unadulterated Ignorance about Blecks for the Duration of your Posting Days... In this Thread Alone, You've Taken the Thoughts of 40 Individuals and Made Sweeping Judgements about Blacks, with a Broom the Size of the Grand Canyon... So if 40 Whites Pick Floyd to Lose, is it ACCURATE to Beat Your Chest Claiming "Whitey Hates May weather"? Of Course Not... REED
Reed said he had not even alluded to how this fight affected the legacy of Mayweather. Reed was shown that he had. Twice. Reed has not addressed this yet.
This became the issue only when you twisted it that way let's get back to WHY you broached the subject originally (i.e. That this was somehow code for REED big upping Floyd)
That is true, but the point is I believe him if he says he's rooting for Pacquiao. I think a lot of people these days tune in to see Floyd lose, black or otherwise.
