But yeah, at the same time he let Mares get away with frequent, blatant low blows. It was sickening, and the fight that made me want to see Mares KTFO, which good old Johnny made a reality. It would still be nice to see Mora pistol whipped.

 

For me, Rios vs Abril was corruption.

To be honest puerto, I didn't take enough notice of it at the time to have a clear opinion on whether it's a true robbery.

If it is, then yeah, probably about the Hopkins fight.

The sport will not take the necessary steps to figure out why disparate judging occurs. I suspect incompetence (meaning not knowing how to judge) and corruption are way down the list of reasons. Right near or at the top will be that many rounds are close enough to arguably go to either fighter.

If you gave DLH every single possible benefit of the doubt, you could maybe give him 4 rounds. Sturm schooled him. Same with Whitaker-De La Hoya. A judge scoring the Mayweather-DLH fight for Oscar was also pretty atrocious, as was HBO's commentating during that fight. Floyd Sr playing both sides of the fence afterward with Merchant was embarrassing to watch
