    Dogs are the best.

Dogs remind us of our own mortality.

My dog could swim and run and chase and climb and do it all day.

Then, one day, after years had passed, years which seemed like months, her breath was catching in her throat, doing mundane stuff, like chasing the neighbours cat.

2 years later we had to put her down.

I used to punch her before I got that bag. Hence her cauliflower ear. She was delighted the day I bought that bag.

Are England's international friendlies and/or cup qualification matches shown on normal TV or do you have to subscribe to special channels?

I think it would be funny if they showed Azerbaijan vs Malta instead of the England match.

Rooney comes within inches of opening up the scoring but hits it off the post.

Russia-Montenegro suspended as the Russian goalkeeper was apparently hit in the face with a flare.

Ha. Couldn't believe Rooney said that, he needs to keep quiet.

I do like Kane though, good player with lots of potential.

Should be Kane and Austin up front, with Rooney playing just behind and Welbeck watching at home.

The laddie's on fire! Was quite an entertaining match - some o' the Lithuanian laddies looked as big as the famous Douglas Fir in the beautiful Hermitage forest, a few miles from Perth at Dunkeld, like.

Listen laddie, Ah'm sorry Ye didnae like ma wee song tae Ye - as cracked as it soonds, Ah thought it'd give Ye a wee laugh, but.

Mibbees this will... Ah haddae a minor knee op last November and Ah received a questionnaire from the Golden Jubilee hospital (naw - it's no' a Chinese takeaway) asking aboot hoo their service had stacked up. Ah wiz ootraged tae read they were enquiring aboot ma sexual orientation! Well, if that wiznae insult enough that they could even think Ah might be a Bufty, they then listed the choices in alphabetical order so the first two choices were 'Bisexual' and 'Gee' (Gay). As Ye might imagine, this sent me apoplectic wi' pure rage so Ah ignored all the 'normal' hetrosexual option and went STRAIGHT tae 'Other' and wrote doon:

'Scoattish Presbyterian - Ah only have sex when Ah wish tae procreate.'

Slightly 'Monty Python', but Ah'm sure they'll get the message.

Who can be toughest in dealing with a problem which isn't a problem? Who seems more prime ministerial? Who would have the best chance in a fist fight with Putin? Who would you most like to spend a relaxed sunday morning with? The horse race, the horse race!

'This is a big dangerous world and the only government who can guide us through those dangers is a conservative government'. Unusually explicit formulation of the tory message, that
