I can't believe I'm defending Khan but, Alexander hit him with some solid shots and nothing happened. At 147, I don't think Broner even has as much pop as Alexander.
I said the EXACT same thing in another thread. Khan's chin looks sturdier at 147, and Broner hasn't stopped or hurt ONE opponent at 140+. So yeah, there's no evidence he even punches as hard as Alexander, he is clearly not a puncher above 135, and would probably lose every round to Khan.
When you have the ability to outbox some decent fighters, you don't fight a guy who is a better boxer. Algieri is cashing out. Brook vs Khan needs more time to build up in the US. It's a fight for the end of the year at the earliest. Loved watching Showtime International with the Brit announcers. They are always a nice change from the American guys.
Broner doesn't even punch as hard as Khan's previous, relatively crap WW opponents, and Khan's chin looks clearly less glass at 147. Like Hut said, his pathetic workrate doesn't come close to compensating for his lack of power (or defense). He'll get button mashed into bolivian indeed. And as before, I'll sigbet the shit out of you :kidcool: I seriously can't believe I'm confidently picking Khan, and vehemently defending him :: But there you go - Broner is shit, and the most dislikeable fighter in the sport.
I'll sigbet you guys sooooooo hardcore Alexander is a featherfisted southpaw... Made for Con He had it easy against each southpaw he's faced ... He's never had an easy fight with a righty that can throw a lead cross and I'd bet you any day of the week that Boner hits harder than Alexander, who can't break a wet paper bag
Though admittedly it seems somewhat of an aberration in retrospect, he KO'd Urango with 1 punch. Broner has ZERO KO's at 140+, not only that, he has not even dropped or hurt an opponent. Again, there's simply no evidence to suggest he hits as hard or harder than Alexander. Or Collazo for that matter. I consider Broner to be tailor made for Khan. Smaller, no workrate, no power. He'll get whitewashed with teh button mash.
Boner hasn't faced anyone over 140 with a glass chin and you can't tell me he never stunned Molina, for example... Guy was tentative as hell
Alexander most likely has more pop in his right hook than any punch AB throws. At the end of the day, both guys are garbage. I think at 147 the odds favor Khan. But, "like I said before" I'd rather see Khan-Broner than Khan-Algeri. At least Broner comes forward and doesn't mind trading. Algeri is a pity patt, running faggot.
Alexander never landed anything substantial on A Mere Con .... Oh man I'm going to bend all of your toes back, you dudes
I do wonder if Broner has bought into the Pakistanian Can't Fight philosophy as so elucidated by Professor Of Anthropology at UPENN, Garcia Sr.

I've often praised Khan's balls in the ring, but out of the ring he's turned into a ducking bitch. Collazo, Alexander, and now fucking Algieri the smug scrubby yuppie? A tune up fight at a new weight is to be expected, but not 3. There's plenty of good fights to be made. Bradley, Thurman, Brook, a Maidana rematch. Or invite Garcia up to 147 for a rematch, or Lucas. All good fights.
Would be hilarious if Algeri badly hurt Khan. You can't put a guy with a chin that bad in with anyone who can punch.
That^ This is simply smart matchmaking on his behalf ...He'll get knocked stupid the next time he faces somebody with pop
Algeri couldn't hurt a 10 yr boy dying of a brain tumor. Khan will beat his ass easily................. and it'll prove NOTHING!
