When Harden is jacking up 21 FGA in a year (24 since all star break) and multiple games with 30+ shots while having a shitty true shooting percentage like 50% let me know. I didn't ASSume a fucking thing. I layed it out in black and white, Harden has been at 45% for most of the year, and shot over 45% last year, and is trending upwards. WB has been at 42% for most of the year and is trending downwards. Harden is averaging 3.7 TO since the all-star break Westbrook has been averaging sickening 6.
Again, you're acting like Harden is the only player in NBA history that shoots FT as much as he does when WB is right behind him and players such as Kobe, Wade, Lebron have shot MORE FT in seasons than Harden, sometimes consecutively!! Only you want to use the "15 FT or more" standard :limp: Harden "sells" his fouls, oh you mean like how Kobe used to yell "HEyyyyyy" every damn time he was two feet from the basket? And please don't tell me that WB don't bitch to the refs. That's flat out fucking untrue. Dude has that whiney ass face more than anyone in the NBA!!! Shooting a lot of freethrows is a shitty way to play the game you say? Well tell that to Jordan, Shaq, Lebron, Wade, Kobe, Durant, Griffin, Malone, Pierce, Iverson, Arenas, and Westbrook himself, because the are ALL guilty. All NBA players that attack the basket "rely" on the whistle. I've proven my case with facts. I'm still waiting for yours... And yeah, I don't give a damn what jerseys each player wears, Harden is the better player and like I said, even Westbrook's own team would trade his ass for Harden. Harden, Curry, and Durant are always in the top of TS%, funny how their teams are always there as well, (even OKC last year without Westbrook)
Bad news for Texmex http://www.si.com/nba/2015/03/24/houston-rockets-pat-beverley-wrist-injury-season-ending Rockets need his defense badly.
San Antonio at last looking like the team that destroyed the Heat last year, albeit against a depleted OKC. Westbrook started good then went 0-5 in the second quarter. It's literally OKC's only offensive option. They won't get past the Warriors in the first round.
His defense has slipped as a starter. He just can't do what he's known for for 35+ minutes. That is why the Rocket's have been trying to get another PG. Still no word if he's having season ending surgery or not, if he's gone, Rockets went 12-2 in the games he's missed this season. I expect they would play Brewer at PG at times and Rookie Nick Johnson, he can D up a little. Terry and Prigs is suspect will get the majority of minutes, and with Dwight coming back, along with Terrence Jones and Josh Smith playing well, they will be "ok." Brewer is quickly becoming one of my favorite players, I sure hope the Rockets are able to keep him.
Tonight's OKC vs SAS game just proves my point further. WB got out played again tonight, just like he got outplayed by CP3. WB shot 31.6% scoring 16 pts on 16 shots. Parker shot 71.4% scoring 21 pts on 14 shots. WB had 7 assists with 4 TO's. Parker had 6 assists with ZERO TO's. WB was a -30 Parker was a +28 Both played roughly the same minutes, around 26. This blowout is not all on Westbrook, but he sure as hell didn't help matters. As I've been trying to tell REED, without Durant, expect more of the same if OKC plays GS in the first round. This blowout was just a preview of what I predicted.
Good to see San Antonio picking it up. They appear to be headed to a win over Memphis. The western conference playoffs once again are gonna be awesome to watch. Soooooooo competitive.
Brook Lopez balling outta control, but IMO there is no way he finishes this season without missing at least 1 game to injury. Knowing him, I wouldn't be shocked if he gets an injury that keeps him out until early next season.
Derrick Rose apparently had his knee surgery done by the team doctors. I guess when you do that it's free, but wouldn't it make more sense for him to search out the best possible knee doctor in the world and have him do the surgery? Say it cost him a million dollars instead of being free, if it allows him to play extra years he's going to make that money back. I read that with Kevin Durant the Thunder had a consultation with the top 3 Jones fracture specialist before making their determination. Personally I thought Durant came back too quickly after the first surgery but this shit Rose is doing - already participating in 5 on 5 scrimmages since his last surgery is nuts. He's just begging to be the next Penny Hardaway or Grant Hill. Team doctors should only do minor surgeries IMO. If it's on something that has a history of being career ending or shortening, even if it meant paying out of pocket, I'd look for the best doctor possible depending on my pay scale.
Well the season hasn't ended yet, but lets take a look at how my Blinded ASSumtions which are Unsupported, and Unfounded are going... As predicted, Westbrook's FG% continues to plummet, now at 41.9% and I'm not going to say anything about his TRUE FG% because his 3PT FG% has now dipped to 28.9%. That's usually when coaches tell you to stop shooting them. But he had another triple double tonight!!! On 31% shooting with 32 attempts!!alm: Resulting in a loss, now the Pelicans are only 1.5 games back of them. As predicted, Harden's FG% continues to trend upwards, now up to 44.2%. He didn't have a triple double tonight, only 51pts on 64% shooting, 8 boards, 6 assists & 3 stls. Oh and his 3PT FG% is 37.6% This game resulted in a win, which now ties them for the 2nd seed. He also just tied Westbrook for league lead in PPG. The turnover numbers I predicted will come, Harden has already touched 3.99. Westbrook will hit 4.5 with just another one of his 9 or 10 turnover games. As the season comes to an end, as you can see, what I predicted will come true or very close, it's going straight in that direction. I also predicted OKC would maybe get one game vs the Warriors and get blown out at least once, I still stand by that, but lets see if OKC can even make the playoffs first. Harden is the better player of the two. There just isn't any way I can see WB as being better. I'm not being a Harden nutthugger, there's other NBA players better than Westbrook as well. Clint Capela!!! Rocket's future center!!!
Warriors got RAPED tonight. San Antonio is closing strong and are looking like a strong possibility to come out of the west.
Spurs are peaking and Memphis is in a rut right now. Memphis beat OKC the other day, but that's not saying much as OKC has been getting beaten by everyone lately including their 2nd 30 point trouncing in 2 weeks by the Spurs today. Golden State better pray that Memphis gets on track and beats the Spurs for them because I think if it's Spurs versus Golden State in the WC finals that the Spurs will win. Right now the Spurs look like the team that won the championship last year, their confidence looks sky high and I'm seeing an ever so slight fall off from Golden State. Plus the Spurs ran this season like a marathon with breaks in between while Golden State has been sprinting the whole way.
Pelicans beat the Warriors + OKC loses a bunch of games + Pelicans own the tiebreaker with OKC = Pelicans retake the 8th seed. Whoopie, I can once again root for the possibility we don't make the playoffs. Why root against my team you ask? Not making the playoffs means we have an excuse/if not good reason to fire Scott Brooks. Plus no Kevin Durant or Serge Ibaka pretty much guarantees it's a wasted playoff run anyway. I also think Westbrook would better off resting than putting wasted miles on his body in a playoff run. Yeah it could mean some experience but it's not like he hasn't been going to the playoffs already.
Rockets were hanging with the Spurs in the first half tonight, even a 10 point lead a few times, but the difference? Coach Pops. He made adjustments, McHale tells his team to play harder. One is playing chess, the other is playing checkers. There is no way to tell who the Spurs will be playing in the first round though, if they beat the Rockets again, they could get #2 seed.
And the sad thing is the Spurs won pretty handily without even looking like the Spurs today. It wasn't their usually assortment of cuts and passes, they won off a lot of iso's mostly with Parker and Kawi. In other news the Thunder have an opening for the 8th seed again since New Orleans lost. I'll be rooting against them tomorrow.
Besides being from the Bay Area, another reason why I want the Warriors to win it all is my utter distaste for Mark Jackson. My god (I hope he gets offended when people use that phrase) is he annoying. Worst commentator ever, simply states the obvious, has stupid "catch phrases" like "mama there goes that man" (sounds like something an abused kid says when he sees the pedo). He also has this air of smugness whenever he speaks. He had 2 good seasons with the Warriors after the Warriors were a perennial laughingstock, and STILL gets fired, which shows you much unlikeable he must be and how he burns bridges. Yaps non-stop about Jesus, tries to downplay the efforts of his assistants so HE gets all the credit, judges others, while he cheats on his wife and sends private photos of himself to his mistress. And then points out "I wasn't a pastor when I cheated". Yes, because that makes it okay, and makes all the sinners you judge, bad and people that need to be "prayed for". He cannot mask his bitterness whenever the Warriors are on TV and he has to commentate. After praising other defensive big guys in the paint, he proclaims "rim protectors are overrated" in reference to the Warriors and Andrew Bogut, and says the Warrior defense is better because of the "values that have been installed" (meaning HIS values). Nothing would be finer than to see the Warriors win with Mark commentating, and to see his annoying smug angry face.
This Copeland stabbing case is getting interesting. Copeland out for rest of year with a dislocated elbow, looks like Sefolosha has a broken leg and gone for season and playoffs, probably from getting clubbed by a cop. Wonder if there's footage out there?
After giving coach Pops a compliment, I lost a little respect for him tonight. I just had to watch a total of 12+ minutes of intentional fouling in one game. He took away a quarter of basketball. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes I'm glad the Rockets do it, but to that extent is absurd. Oh and Timmay with the OBVIOUS foul on Harden when he went in for the game winner, he got NO ball at all and they called it a block.
NBA refs are the absolute worst in all major sports. How do I get my retarded legally blind cousin to apply?
