Continuing with the welterweight match ups.

Both guys had speed, power, and good all around skills. Oscar had the better chin, but he never fought anyone who could deliver punches with the speed and accuracy of Curry. Oscar would have to get the jab going, and not abandon it like he did somewhat in his fight with Quartey and the first fight with Mosley. If he can't out jab Curry, I'm not so sure he can beat him.

I think Curry's superior speed and skills carry the day via UD or even a possible late stoppage. Keep in mind, this is Curry at his BEST that we are talking about. Not the Honeyghan version.

Curry... Hoya is competitive, especially early but Curry is too sharp and his power would make Hoya hesitant

What changed in less than a year between the McCrory and Honeyghan bouts?

Curry isn't stopping a peak Oscar at welterweight. Even if you favour Curry to win, he's the only guy who might get stopped here.

No one said Oscar gets stopped. Curry would beat him up pretty good though, and leave no doubt on the cards.

    Puerto said he might.

I like Curry, and I'd take him on points here too.

Oscar is one of those fighters who diminished remarkably as he went up in weights yet managed to keep making money and winning titles. Put Oscar on the Magic Sauce that others were on and he probably fucks a lot of guys up badly at 147. His chin got better as he moved up, but he left his power further and further behind.

By the time of the Tito Fight, Boxing Monthly did a preview, in which they interviewed Carlos Palomino, who described Oscar as having regressed to the status of a "World Class Amateur"......Palomino felt that Oscars handspeed was the only thing that could keep him out of trouble anymore.

What, in my opinion, was happening that Oscar was not working as hard and the power was wearing off as he moved up and fought better bigger guys.

If he fights him the way he fought Mosley the first time, I think there's a chance for a stoppage.

I wouldn't GURANTEE it but Curry's speed and power landing on a tired Oscar late in the fight???... Anything is possible.

Officially, I'd say Curry wins a decision, but there is potential for a stoppage.
