You sure you'll be able to find a dependable stream? There's going to be way more traffic than usual on the night...

My pals and I just booked a table at a nice pub downtown. Can't wait.

It's going to be weird seeing them in the ring together.

I'm guessing it will be harder than usual but there will also be a lot more of them out there. I just can't bring myself to put a nickel into Floyd Mayweather's pocket.

Unless they were are all knowledgeable boxing fans I'd rather watch the fight alone. Either they hoot and holler at every shot landed or start getting bored because it's not Mike Tyson landing bombs. Maybe for me it's different but I don't like watching boxing with a bunch of people. It's not like the superbowl or other big sporting events.

i get that aspect. so when i order fights i invite real fans. if they bring friends with them who arent too knowledgeable they tend to shut the fuck up during the fights. if not i turn the volume up louder.

still, Id rather go to a party and watch the fight on a big TV than at home one some shitty, iffy stream

I've watched a bunch of big fights over the years with this group of friends. They get it. Otherwise, I'm with whiskey.

typically Id say arum is stirring up shit and blowing smoke.

but with tickets still up in the air, even as far as the secondary market is concerned and media credentials still not resolved either 3 weeks out from the fight, it is clear that this shit was thrown together and they are trying to work out the logistics on the fly.

I'm the same exact way. I'd much rather watch boxing alone than with casual fans.

Defo got a bit of a love handle there, surprising, only 3 weeks before the fight.

He's been working out like a demon as always. Could be age, could be Fatburger. Or could be it's nothing, and it'll be gone by fight night.

I'd imagine it'll be gone by fight night. He's pushing 40 now, probably just has to work extra hard to be as trim and lean as before.

Incidentally, does anyone else find it surreal that the fight is just over 3 weeks away?

Talks of the fight went on for years, and suddenly it's happening more or less right away, before even having much of a chance to process it

It does seem odd to have the fight happen so quickly after signing, for a fight of this magnitude. You'd think they'd want to milk the build up as much as possible, and have as much training time as possible too.

Yeah it is a bit weird but being this fight is so long over due it hasn't really bothered me as much as if it happened like this 5 years ago.

    Fuck this fight.

Floyd now looks like what a fighter who isn't juiced looks like. Hmmm. Fuck Floyd.

I hope one of them gets hurt or otherwise pulls out.

Remember one of the main excuses way back when was 'Oh, if we don't have all of the details worked out by January 2nd, there won't be enough time to promote this fight.' Fuck Arum.

Manny is the guy who should be the protagonist. But, he's not. He did everything right except one important thing--he was apparently so enamored with juice that he wouldn't agree to proper PED testing and let Floyd off the hook for the fight not happening when it should have. Fear of needles--one of the lamest excuses ever made. Fuck Pacquiao.

Floyd is doing all kinds of different shit for this fight. Apparently, he's been doing cryotherapy, which is supposed to speed up recovery & decrease muscle soreness.. not sure if it really works for that, but it's also used as a way to rapidly burn calories (putting your body in subzero temperatures boosts your metabolism like crazy, which is why extra calories can help stave off hypothermia). Wonder if he's really having problems getting in shape.. I find that hard to believe. Either way though, I don't think making all these changes bodes well for him.

Must be a slow news day to analyze a stupid picture.

At the weigh in he'll be cut as normal once he drops the water weight. Can't believe you nancies don't have something better to discuss.

He's 150 right now. He typically enters the ring at 148-150. Don't think 3 lb of water isn't going to make a dramatic difference, & I don't recall him ever looking that soft in the ring before regardless. We'll see, I guess

I wouldn't make much of it.

Floyd was also 150 for the 30 day weigh in against Maidana, both times (give or take a couple ounces).

Still very close to the weight limit and I think he'll be in top shape come May 2nd. Same with Manny.
