Bubi Scholz was doing Floyd before anyone had even heard of Floyd. He once did an interview, I can't find it now...where he just sat there refusing to speak.

This clip is so unintentionally funny, especially the "The End" bit.<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-3Avqm9rcBk?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I found it hard to pick between Harold Johnson, Marciano and McLarnin for the tag of favourite American fighter.

I guess it's a matter of taste. I thought it was a thing of beauty how he would make guys miss then pay.

One of the most talented guys I've ever seen and I didn't come up on him. I had learned about him from family members who came up on him and by watching his fights on video.

He didn't accomplish as much as someone like Carlos Ortiz or Wilfredo Gomez, and he wasn't as beloved as Trinidad, but he was definitely the most skillful and talented Puerto Rican fighter I've ever seen.

Benitez had four really great performances; Cervantes, Palomino, Hope, and Duran.

None of those fights were boring.

    Maske was Eastern Germany.

I'd guess that Germans still distinguish between those from the Soviet side and those from the NATO side. Anyone know?

East Germany hasn't existed in 25 years. When it did, it was part of the East Europe. Now they are pretty much one nation and people from former East Germany are accepted (the national leader Angela Merkel grew up in East Germany). There are still some differences but they are not seen as two different groups altogether anymore

Yeah it was an artificial, political and economic gap rather than a cultural gap.
