Did you know that Henry Ford was an open supporter of Adolf Hitler.

When I was a kid in the 80s there was a lot more pro-America attitude (Cold War Patriotism) but you had people that wouldn't drive Japanese or German cars because of WWII. I wonder how many of those people drove Fords.

Ford was NOT a supporter of Hitler any more than King Edward VIII

He played about with the Hitler thing because he hated Jews.

When I first went to England in 2004, my girlfriend and I saw a casino in Southend and I wanted to go in. At the door they had a sign that it was a private casino and you had to apply for a membership to their club to play there. The next day I saw a billiards club in Colchester and wanted to go in but saw the same type of sign. It was a private club for approved members. From this I got the impression that most places over there were for private members and that included betting shops.

From 2007 to 2011 I took five more trips to England and saw probably a hundred betting shops I would have liked to have gone in but figured they were private and for members. Finally in 2012 in Acton I asked a guy standing outside a shop what I would have to do to place a bet in PaddyPower betting shop? He said, "You just walk in and place a bet, mate. That's it." Well, fuck me.

You make it sound like he was gonna start chucking out tanks for the Germans.

People do this all the time....they say things...."I wish I had parents like that"....doesn't mean they literally want to be adopted there and then.

Before America entered WWII you had sections of America that openly sided with Nazi Germany. Some had German lineage, some agreed politically, and some just hated Jews.

I was under the impression that Henry Ford did provide financial assistance to the Nazis (and was later awarded with some kind of Nazi medal) but I can't be arsed to look it up this minute.

No mate, as I was fast asleep in bed, having stayed up all night until midday.

I wouldn't have bet on it anyways, to be honest.

Did you see my Pick of Awesomeness for the United-City game....

    QPR Chucking Objects Ootrage!

Jose Mourinho refused to condemn the QPR supporters who threw missiles at his Chelsea players after Cesc Fabregas's late strike at Loftus Road.

As Fabregas and his team-mates celebrated the 88th-minute winner, coins, plastic bottles and fast food were among objects thrown from the home stands.

Defender Branislav Ivanovic grabbed his neck in pain after being hit by a half eaten, spicy Chicken Cottage wrap.

"The game was correct in the pitch and correct in the stands," said Mourinho. "It is not easy in an emotional game."

The Chelsea boss added: "If, at the end of the game, someone threw a pound coin, put it in your pocket. If someone threw a wrap, eat it. It is no problem. Everybody needs a pound."

QPR manager Chris Ramsey did condemn those involved in the incident, claiming rivalries can "sometimes go too far".

He said: "We don't want objects thrown on the pitch.

"I don't know what happened and I didn't see it, but if that's the case [that objects were thrown] we don't want those people back in the club. I have heard that one fan has been sat on the toilet ever since eating the wrap and that police are trying to track the offender down via sniffer dogs."
