British media now reporting that former world lightweight amateur champ Frankie Gavin has larger, better rounded and more-pendant testicles than Amira Khant and is close to signing to fight Kellie Brook.

Truth be told, the entire matter smells a bit like warm-up specials, Con to fight Algeiri and Brook fighting Gavin, a man a division smaller.

Aye, Brook-Khan is definitely going to happen though.

Gavin may even cause Brook some problems if they fight.

Frankie wants to drink and have fun.

I do wonder...if he puts the pipe and the bottle down for a few weeks....he could embarrass Brook.

If on the other hand he has really fallen out of love with boxing, this could be a cash-out fight for him.

    It smells that way.

I think Eddie Hearn knows Gavin is basically an alcoholic and that Brook will beat him easily and set up the Khan fight.

He still fights in the in and out amateur style, hasn't really progressed as a pro. Plus his lack of pop means he doesn't have the get out of jail card to save him when it gets tough.

Khan has already proven himself enough. He doesn't need to be looking for tough, losable fights in order to get to superfights. He needs easy fights while someone else builds himself up to superfight status or someone who is already there agrees to fight Khan.

In other words, he's doing the correct thing. He fights Algieri, looks very good at worst, and hopes that Brook increases his ppv stock or Floyd or Pacq come knocking.

I still don't think Khan fights Brook. He's all about cashing out. If a fight with either of Pacquiao or Mayweather doesn't materialize, I could see him going for Cotto.

I would love it if Cotto beat his ass. Cotto is the antithesis of that button mashing fool.

I thought you hated catch-weight fights? No way Khan gets into the ring with Cotto otherwise. (at least at this point in time)

It can be at 154, it doesn't have to be at 147 or 150.

I don't mind catchweight PER SE, what I mind is when it is used to weaken one guy or expose him to risk and then they dress it up as being for THE TITLE.

If Khan feels better at 150 and Cotto can make 150 then 150 it is. So long as nobody says its for THE World MW Title or for THE Welterweight title or any shit.

Wasn't Khan 160 on the night he fought Alexander The Not So Great? I mean I think Khan could make that pretty comfortably.

Generally speaking I don't like them either. The problem is discerning between it being "no big deal it's only a few pounds" or "complete bullshit". When THE TITLE actually meant something I'd agree but it hasn't for years now. What I agree on completely is the challenger should never be able to dictate terms of the fight. Leonard for example didn't "force" Hagler to come in @ 157 for example but he did get a championship fight reduced to 12 rounds. I think most of us would agree that made a bigger difference in the outcome than the weight would have.

In regards to Cotto-Khan I don't see that fight getting made unless the terms are such that Cotto is diminished in some way and it wouldn't be something trivial like the order of ring entrances.

Gavin has nothing to lose by fighting Brook. If he were in Khan's place, he'd want to see Brook even less than Khan does.

This page has gone a bit retarded lately.

The whole Khan ducking Brook thing is as ridiculous as it comes. Khan was looking for a fight for May 30. He announced that quite a while back and he called out Broner. I don't know what reason he didn't get Broner but he got the Algieri fight (now Algieri really is cashing out.)

Obviously Brook had just fought Dan and would not be ready to fight on May 30. (Very few fighters these days will fight two title fights two months apart.) This is obviously a build up of some sort.

"Chickenshit" Khan who has fought Garcia, Maidana, Judah, Peterson, Collazo, Malignaggi, Alexander, and Barrera isn't ducking Brook.

And Gavin, who is a nobody and who has done nothing in his career, is not "brave" for fighting Brook. But Irish is a bigot with limited reasoning abilities, so these kinds of facts don't come into play for him.

I've never even seen Gavin fight, but he apparently only managed a SD over Curtis Woodhouse, and lost to Leonard Bundu

If Khan-Brook happens, is it this era's version of De La Hoya-Vargas?? :dunno:

Not quite. There is more to it than that.

Khan is an insecure British parki who hates Blacks but wants to be Black and can't stand that another dog on the block is getting some love from the British Public.

I wouldn't be surprised if Khan, a la Tonya Harding, had Nancy Brook stabbed in the leg.

    Really??? :scratcher:

I thought Khan being a silver medalist, having sparred with Pacquiao, trained by Freddie, and the endorsements was supposed to be the big star and the one that all fighters come to if they want a big pay check and Brook is chasing that. Isn't Khan supposed to be the one who gets the attention?

Then you have the back story about that sparring session that took place with Khan saying he schooled Brook and Brook saying he schooled Khan. The only thing missing here is that there is no word of Brook falling into a snow bank.

Oh and I always thought the blacks accepted Khan in England. After all he's friends with David Haye. Though it does seem that Carl Froch doesn't think much of him.

Pakis are like a poor mans Jew. They don;t mix. I refer you to the following exhibit. cos of that shit, cos of that shit....:

    <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/e--NYy92w4c?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Khan wants to be the man in England...........he feasted on little bums and still got floored by them, fought no top British fighters.

Brook has the title and most likely schooled Khan in training, an awful lot of the Sheffield fighters have big reps in that regard, a la Johnny Nelson with Chris Eubank Sr.

Wasn't there some video (I think Irish posted it), where he said Naz was a good fighter "because he had that metric system thing going on"...? The guy is a dick
