Are you kidding me? Spurs won the game because of Pop's tactics. Maybe if Josh Smith could hit a fucking free throw. Unfortunately you guys have two free throw shooting black holes on your team. Doubt you can go far in the playoffs against the better teams with that sort of tactical deficit going into crunch time.

Whether he won the game because of these tactics is debatable, as the tactic insures we A. Don't turn the ball over for a fast break for the Spurs. B. Stopped Leonard from getting going as he was beginning to before the tactics. I can't say that I'm 100% sure of the accuracy, but I read a few times that the Rockets were actually a +4 during the intentional fouling.

Anyhow, 12+ minutes of intentional fouling is shit. If the Rockets do it for that long, it's shit too and fuck them also.

Point being is there's a time and place for intentional fouling, I don't like it at all, but I can't say that I didn't agree it was the proper strategy for the Rockets on some occasions.

But doing it for over 25% of the game, that's making a mockery of the sport. It gave me the impression that Pops was a little desperate as he has stated he hates doing it in the past. Plus he was doing it WITH THE LEAD.

Even after all this, Spurs won by only one point, and probably would have lost had the proper call been made at the end of the game.

I'm not really that upset about the call or loss, shit happens in the NBA.

What I'm most upset about is Pops making the 2nd half of the game boring as fuck, game was close, could have been very entertaining, if basketball was played.

one shot plus the ball on fouls away from the ball. if they institute that rule the strategy is gone

Something has got to be done. It's getting out of hand. There will be a rule change, just don't know how long it will take to get it done. if McHale would have done the same on Duncan for the same amount of time, it would have been a real complete joke of a "game" and changes would have come sooner.

Westbrook with 54 pts on 43 attempts, terrible. He should have ended up with 75+. Instead he got another loss. It's apparent he's gunning for the NBA scoring lead, not the playoffs.

Case in point, he got his 16th technical, which will force him to miss the next game vs the Blazers if the NBA doesn't rescind it. What a stupid thing to do when you're team is fighting for a playoff spot and you are supposed to be the alpha of this team.

The guy is just not a winner, I don't dismiss his incredible talent, tremendous motor and heart, it's just he's always been a chucker with low BBIQ. The name Westbrick, well I didn't make that one up.

OKC needs to ship him out and get Durant some real help.

Westbrook went 21/43 while the rest of his team combined for 20/52.

Westbrook has 54 points on 49% shooting, 9 rebounds, 8 assists with only 2 turnovers and what you get out of it is hes not a winner. Right.

Poor Tex is salty as hell. With Houston sliding, Curry all but locking up the MVP, Westbrook taking the scoring title, doesnt leave much left for Harden.

Actually they have 3. Smith, Howard, and Joey Dorsey who is the worst of the 3.

I kind of have to agree with you for the most part. I started the game rooting for the Spurs, but after Pops started doing hack-a-player I started hoping he would lose the game because of it. It made me realize that it's not a sound strategy. You're giving the opponent an opportunity to score for free. Sure maybe the opponent only hits 1 of 2 shots but then the Spurs team might have gotten a full fledged stop just playing their defense. To be honest though I think Pop is doing it for a different reason. I think his ultimate reasoning is to allow his team to rest rather than expend unnecessary energy playing defense during these last few games of the season. It's actually a brilliant technique if that's the case.

Thunder blew another game they should have won. I am seriously rooting against my team in hopes we miss the playoffs. The defense they played in that game is just inexcusable. There is no way Brooks should continue to keep his job after this season, especially if we miss the playoffs.

I agree with some in the sport that they should leave hack-a-player as is. Sure it stinks up the game something awful, but like a lot of people say, players should be able to hit their free throws. They shouldn't get bailed out of the situation with a rule change.

It also doesn't bother me because I never watch games live anyway. I detest it. If a game is live I'll record it, and watch it an hour or so later, just so I can fast forward through video reviews, free throws, timeouts, commercials, and especially hack-a-player.

    Umm, did he win?

Oh let's not forget 30% from the 3 point line. That's ok sometimes I guess, but not when you jack up 15 of them.:nono:

You mention how his other teammates shot, well do you think it's easy for the rest of his team to find a rhythm while becoming spectators? Seriously, they should've just bought a ticket.

    He's NOT a winner.

Do you want to see OKC's record last year when WB was out and Durant in and compare?

Not salty, I just call it the way I see it. Houston sliding? Sliding right into the playoffs, oh and they could still very well get the #2 seed. Curry deserves the MVP, I just did't want to ever hear Westbrook's name in that discussion if it didn't include Davis.

As for as leaving anything for Harden, well I'm 100% sure Harden wouldn't have missed the playoffs even if his #2 or #3 were out all year, they were already on pace for a top 4 seed. Dwight is still only playing 24 minutes a game and we lost our starting PG and DMO right before the playoffs. Now THAT I'm salty about.

I told REED that OKC would get swept and blown out in the first round, he disagreed, well it's looking like he was right

Tonight, Westbrook led his team. Played like the best player in the NBA. See there, I'm no hater. That's just the truth and I know more than ya'll fellas. :FU!:

    How so?

Westbrook put up WORSE numbers than he did the night before, but because his team won against a LMA-less Blazers team he "played like the best player in the NBA"?

    Makes no sense.

And what is the point? I don't know the outcome beforehand, so I don't see what the difference is, unless you're going to tell me that sitting through lulls in the action is part of the experience.

It's Safe to Say You were Flat Out WRONG in this Instance...

As REED Types & w/1 Game Remaining for Both, Westbrook is Shooting .425% from the Field, Harden .440%...Clearly NATHAN to Beat your Rocket Loving Chest about, Nonetheless, You Harp on Westbrook's % Like Harden's Shooting a High % for a Perimeter Player, when he CLEARLY ISN'T...

    TO's???...Westbrook's @ 4.4, Harden's @ a CAREERfuckingHIGH 3.9...The "Trends" you Predicted DIDN'T Pan Out, Period...As REED Said, You Made ASSumptions...

REED's Point has Been CONSISTENT Throughout; NO Single Player Deserves to Go to the Line 15+ Times to the Degree Harden has This Season...You Wanna Throw Kobe, Bron or Whomever Else in that Argument, Fine...The Point STANDS Regardless...

Even Though Harden IS NOT that Class of Player, Nor will he EVER Be, REED Doesn't Feel those Guys Deserve THAT Many Attempts in a Game Either...When DWade was Going to the Line 20+ Times in the 1st NBA Finals vs. the Mavs, REED Found it Sickening...& REED Looooooooooooved DWade Back Then...

You Think REED Couldn't Dig Up Multiple SHITTY Games of Harden's???...

The Funny Thing is, Coming Into this Particular Game, OKC had an 18-6 Post-All Star Game Record, which was 2nd Best in the ENTIRE League...All the While, You Kept Talking Out of your Ass about Westbrook "NOT Winning Games"...

How Did OKC Do w/Out Westbrook in Last Year's Regular Season???...Uuuuh, just as Easily, REED Can Ask How they Did in the Playoffs, the Year your Significant Other, Patrick Beverley, INJURED Him...If REED's Not Mistaken, OKC Lost EVERY Game After Westbrook Got Hurt...In Last Year's Playoff's Westbrook CARRIED OKC as Durant Struggled w/the Likes of Tony Allen or Allowed 6ft PG's like Chris Paul to Force Him into Settling for Fadeaway 3's...

w/Westbrook, OKC's Been to the Western Conference Finals TWICE, NBA Finals 1nce...There's NOT a Shred of Evidence to Support the Notion of Russell Westbrook NOT Being a Winner...& if he Wore a Rocket's Jersey, You'd Undoubtedly Be his BIGGEST Fan...
