    Affleck looks great in the costume, but was that really his own 'Batman voice'? So far looks okay, but I am not excited about another dark, gritty Superman movie

    I doubt that is even afleck in the costume most of the time. And his voice is altered.

    I doubt that was Christian Bale in the costume in the Nolan films. Come on, man, Affleck wasn't working out for months just to wear tie & suit as Bruce Wayne. The recent reports that he stated he needed assistance to put on the Batman costume and that the whole process took 26 minutes every time clearly tells that Affleck wore the costume most of the time.

    Why workout when the costume is not form fitting, the muscles are on the costume? clearly is working out to improve what he looks like as bruce wayne. Bale went through many hours of Martial Training, so im sure he was in that suit.

    Why then Affleck whined about taking 26 minutes with other people helping to put on the Batman costume? You can see that is Ben Affleck's jaw and mouth under the mask.

    pretty much. im sure afleck is in the suit when batman is talking. I just dont think he is in it when they are fighting.

    I dont think they fight. Superman would destroy batman easily. I think they have conflicts. Hopefully this movie is something along the lines of Superman believing his own hype and batman needing to bring the young kid down to earth.

    Yup. That is the main inspiration for this film. When it was announced in 2013's ComicCon one of the MAN OF STEEL actors read a direct quote from The Dark Knight Returns, "I want you to remember, Clark, ...my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the man that beat you."

    A lot of people will hate this, but I've enjoyed all of Zack Snyder's takes on the superhero genre, more then what anybody else has done. I quite liked his "Superman", and I was genuinely prepared to hate it.

    There's a certain artistic stylization I appreciate about his work, even though I understand there's a fairly large segment out there who claims he's one of the worst directors in history.

    Superman was good. Most people agree. You have a loud minority who talk shit, but the proof is in the numbers. I thought his take was just fine. And let's not forget his take was also written by the same people that did Nolan's take. So im sure this new movie will be just fine. I just hope affleck is hardly in it and keeps his yap shut.

    Agreed. Watchmen is a great movie and it was very dark. Hopefully he can do the same for Superman v Batman.

    Hell, I even liked "Suckerpunch", which may be one of the weirdest mainstream movies ever made. A semi-musical superhero film, about jailbait whores stuck in a mental hospital. :lol:

    I dont think they are fighting much in this movie. They eventually realize they are being manipulated by Luthor. But if you see that suit batman is wearing, i guess it can withstand some of Superman's power. It's probably laced in Kryptonite.

    The amour he wears is similar to the one from 'The Dark Knight Returns' which he built specifically to go mano a mano with Superman. In that story he does uses technology and kryptonite gas to beat the crap out of Kal-El, but...hey, read the damn book!!
