You don't put any weight at all as to who's the best boxer in the world? Who in the world could have beaten either Lennox or Vitali that night? Lewis got the doctor stoppage win, but it was the end of an era. He retired as the best boxer in the world. Vitali took over as the best boxer in the world, and he stayed on top for years afterwards.

How does that compare to 2 little guys several years past their primes fighting tonight? The fight tonight will be fun, but nowhere near as meaningful.

From the original selling price or from the peak of the tout pricing? I was reading crazy prices last week in the newspaper

A very dull man. Even his knock outs were ineffably boring

I agree with you, kind of perplexing actually, just inescapably dull.

We've got Jim Watt here, I'd rather have Lewis.

Lewis was NEVER the best boxer in the world...neither was Vitaly...

So you have issue with May vs. Pac the two greatest fighters of their generation and TOP 20-30 fighters of all time....but don't have a problem with an OLD, under trained LEWIS fighting and beating Prime Vitaly..?

A brutal shot for sure. The way he skipped over and swung his arm was somehow kinda gay and boring though

They are saying the fight could be delayed cause of the Spurs/Clippers game 7, which Mayweather is very interested in seeing.

Mental. Pacquiao and Mayweather, even today, are 100 times better than those 2.

Yeah, it was a hugely meaty shot, and made a mighty "thwack" sound - but somehow still kinda dull and homo.

No way! Lewis would knock Mayweather and Pacquiao out within 20 seconds, one after the other.

Manny and Floyd were two of the greatest P4P fighters of all time. This fight just should have happened years ago. It's like Chuck Liddell finally fighting Wanderlei. It was fun to watch, but it had lost a lot of its importance by the time they got around to fighting.

Vitali would have won that fight, by the way. If they hadn't stopped it. Lennox did the smart thing in retiring instead of going for a big money rematch.

Define "better". Do you think they're more skilled for their size? Do you think Pacquiao or Mayweather could remotely challenge Vitali in a fight, even today?

I think they are much, much better, P4P. It doesn't mean anything to me that Vitali and Lewis are bigger.

P4P is such nonsense, mex   You can say "much more exciting and dynamic and entertaining" which I'd agree with. But "better p4p" is lame as f*ck

No it isn't. They are simply much better fighters, that happen to fight in a different weight division.

It'll probably be rammed. I'd get there early and buy a few drinks in advance so you dont have to queue again. Then again, i am glaswegian & your priorities may differ

I think Vitali was one of the all time greats. At least as good as Ali, Foreman, Frazier, and Tyson, and better than anyone who came before them. He would have absolutely destroyed classic fighters like Joe Louis or Rocky Marciano.

The guy everyone thinks of as the "baddest man on the planet" is more important to me than trying to decide who's the P4P best. Little guys are always going to be faster and look more skillful. Looking faster doesn't mean they'd win in a fight.

Pacquaio and Mayweather were two of the all time P4P greats. I'm just not as excited about this fight as I would have been a few years ago. They've both slowed down noticeably in the last few years.
