Honestly a lot of the rounds looked more like 3-2. Very dull and close. The clearest rounds were 4 and 6 for Pacquiao.

 

I had the fight even through eight and Mayweather winning by a couple late on. Pac certainly hurt Mayweather in a couple of spots but seemed unwilling to take advantage when he had the chance.

The SKY commentary team should all be fucking shot at dawn. Absolute scrotum slurping cunts to a man. Froch went down in my estimation tonight with his shameful towing of the party line. It was disgusting listening to the utter horseshit they were spewing.

You and I at least watched the same fight. Floyd fell short, and sometimes just plain missed. This is when he even threw punches.

 

That was how I saw it. The two clearest rounds were Manny rounds 4 and 6. I thought Mayweather Jr won the 11th clear as day. The rest were much of a muchness and depended totally on how you score fights - pressure and 'aggression' or 'ring generalship'. Bullshit terms, ultimately - bottom line is that not much fucking happened in any of them.

I am no longer a fan of that "creep" Frock. His commentary was absurd, it was him more than anyone that was acting like it was Floyd Vs Chico.

Pacquiao should give him a straight left.

I honestly couldn't score the first three rounds clear for anyone. Very, very little happened. I gave it 2-1 Manny purely on his aggression and attempting to force a fight - Mayweather spent that time trying to headlock Pac. A lot of rounds were hard to score IMO, though I thought Mayweather won three of the last four reasonably clear.

Froch went way down in my estimation. Watt was terrible. His co-host was terrible.

Manny would be pressuring Floyd, Floyds mouth would be open, they would tell us all what a legend Floyd is as Manny continued to vainly hunt the guy down, with Floyd running, bending, slipping and clinching.

I don't mind opinions. What I object to is people citing 'mastery' as said person is getting drilled with left hand head shots.

Exactly. A round where both guys land a total of 5 punches should be scored a draw or for the guy that is pressing the action imo.

 

So he got punched a few times and therefore wasnt clearly winning the fight.

Typical Mayweather fight

1. Takes a few rounds to figure out his opponent and once he does, wins every single other round. I knew after the 7th round the fight was over. Floyd realized that the way to beat manny was the check left hook and counter left jab...right hand lead wasn't working like he thought he would.
2. I've said it time and time again...Floyd REDUCES the punch output of his opponents. I've told everyone I know who told me that Floyd cannot handle Manny's workrate and will lose because Pacquiao will throw 1000 punches...."Pacquiao will NOT throw 1000 punches against a moving target who has exceptional defense"

 

What is remarkable is how scripted it all sounded.

Pretty much. I had a decent sized bet on Mayweather by decision, so wasn't overly arsed by the way it transpired- it went pretty much exactly as I expected. But the SKY team were an abomination - yet another example of them deciding in advance who they wanted to win the fight then commentating accordingly, regardless of what was happening. At one stage they were lauding Floyd's 'mastery' as he was getting drilled with a three punch combination...

Hatton did it and Mays response was to throat bar him and get Ho Cortez to help him out.

In many ways, Hatton fought better than Pacquaio did tonight but May ran like a bitch.

 

My only wish was that this fight could have been done in their 20s at Super Featherweight so I got to see a knockout. But this will suffice.

Boring fight, but Floyd won easily. I see some idiots here suggesting that many rounds could have gone either way. Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit. There were about 2 "either way" type rounds, the rest were pretty clear.

Mayweather was fighting scared. He's over the hill and it showed tonight. He doesn't have the self believe he had 5/6 years ago. Amir Khan would beat him at this point.

 

It's all going to his head a little bit. He was giving Nigel Benn the speil on SKY the other day about how he would have mopped the floor with him, Eubanks, Watson, G-Man, Toney etc. A couple of Nige lefts might pull him round.
