Seriously. So many people think Floyd won the fight clearly. WTF did he do to win the fight? I just can't see it. He ran like a bitch and hardly landed a significant punch.

Were you really expecting Floyd to stand and trade punches with Pacquiao?

It was a horrible super-fight that once again turned away millions of potential boxing fans, nothing more to be said. I could have seen it go either way, I couldn't have cared less, I think a draw would have been most fitting. Manny did what he could but Mayweather ran like a bitch, neither landed much.

Agreed. But I give the fight to Pac. Since when is running like a girl for the entire fight and hardly throwing punches enough to win a fight?

I was thinking that Pac could have won it maybe with some old-school judges from a couple decades back but now running like a bitch and landing 2 clean punches per round is what wins you fights.

What he did is he created a very strong impression in the minds of the Judges at all times that he was in total control and was unfazed and unworried by anything that Pac was doing.

He did show good defence, good ring generalship and did enough to keep a semi-pro Pac away, at times.

However, the rest of the time, he leaned on, held, hit and held, and bent at the waist and ran to avoid Pac.

He also landed well timed, strategic borderline-low shots to take the wind out of Pac.

Mayweather threw just as many punches as Pacquaio. That stat alone guarantees a win.

Funny if anyone or pac thought he won...
Why didn't he throw 100 a round? Why didn't he press more?
    Why did Floyd Outland him?

If you are running like people say, you don't Outland people

This. I'm seriously surprised this is being argued. I gave Manny 4 rounds.

You know it makes me a lil sick how pac didn't get Floyd any credit and how people are like "Floyd ran" but that's why I love boxing..

Only small % of people appreciate it

    Hit and not get hit

It's not "running" when you control the fight AND Outland the guy

There were people really thinking pac was going to knock him out! Lol

I thought Floyd would stop pac and I believe he could of but I still appreciate that he schooled him

I couldn't hear the commentary, and I was rooting for Manny.
However, it did seem to me that PBF won.

Manny was for the most part the aggressor (no surprise), but PBF was (not withstanding the clinching), the ring general, & landed the cleaner punches.

A lot of us thought that Pac had lost the eye of the tiger, & it did seem to be the case in this fight. Maybe a few years ago would have been different, but to be honest, I'm not convinced. I think that it's more likely that PBF would always beat Manny.

Obviously anybody who writes "schooled" in reference to this fight, may as well declare themselves a PBF nut hugger & move on with their life. The truth will set you free.

    No..be real.

I remember watching the Carl Froch vs Dirrell fight and thinking there is NO WAY Froch wins on the cards, but that if I was walking down the street, and saw it, I would have no doubt who was "Winning the Fight".

Tonight, I had NO DOUBT Floyd was ahead on the cards, in my heart............but at the same time, if somebody had said "Who is winning the fight"...I would have shrugged my shoulders and told them..."I have no idea".

It was a boring largely uneventful fight....but it was clear who was winning the rounds.

This is a thread I would expect from some casual fan.

I was rooting my ass off for Pac, but he won about 3 rounds TOPS!

It was about 10-2 or 9-3 in Floyd's favor.

Bunch of sore losers. Floyd is the better boxer, he made Pac ineffective.

No, it wasn't. At the first time of asking, I had a significant number of rounds even. It may be, in hindsight, clear who WON the rounds, but at the time of viewing, it was not clear who was winning. Floyd's ring generalship gave way ALL TOO OFTEN to outright running, and, when you run, you are running for a reason, because all else has failed, and I cannot give the round for that.

So Floyd would throw 7, land maybe 2, turn defensive, and then get hunted to the point of running whereupon Manny would catch up with him and maybe land 1, 2.

I knew how it would be SCORED. But Floyd wasn;t "Winning" fuck all.

You guys are seeing what you wanna. Key moment: when Floyd & Pac met after the fight but before the verdict:- who did they think won? If Manny won 3 rounds I've no idea what the 3rd one was.

We have to disagree on that padna. Most rounds I only saw Floyd landing clean punches. Also..Floyd seem BUSIER than pacquiao for most rounds...which is bizarre.

Manny knew he had lost just like we all know he lost (apart from Rainy), all we're saying is it was closer than the scorecards :dunno:

At least some rounds, Floyd did seem at least as busy, which was bizarre indeed. Tepid performance from Pacquiao.

It was closer on the cards, the referee did Manny no favours, and the commentary was disgusting, and Floyd was negative, is how I would sum up my complaints.

Closer? Are you mad? Two scorecards had Manny winning 4 rounds. You trying to tell me that manny won more than 4 rounds?
