Wait, what? You must mean the Pacquiao who beat Cotto could beat this present day version of PBF. Because the Floyd from 2009 was just as good if not better than the 2009 Pacquiao you're referring to. So I don't understand how you came to that conclusion based on this fight. It was pretty obvious Floyd has slipped severely based on his last 2 fights with Maidana. And Pacquiao has been in too many wars to be the same fighter he once was. This fight was interesting but also meaningless because we still don't and never will know who would have won had they fought in their primes and Floyd deservedly will always take the blame for that.

Rewatching the fight. Everytime Pacquiao throws a big punch, Floyd dodges and runs like f*ck...away to the other side of the ring  Bitch!

The more you watch this fight, the more apparent are Fraud's b*tch tactics. This wasn't a f*cking fight of any kind.

It was mastery Hanz, mastery. Financial mastery.

That said, it was a good enough fight really, not exciting, but technical. Floyd shuts down offense well.

Just remembered Jamie Foxx murdering the anthem. Almost worth the price of admission alone.

shutting down offense by running and ducking out of corners and giving the impression of making contact. Lame!

TBH I think he'll be better than Lopez, who I was truly never sold on, but better than Chenko? Nah.

Chenko undoubtedly looks the more special of the two, and is already far more proven.

The hugging bits were funny

It's weird, even random nerds seemed to have a pretty clear idea about how the fight would go.

Yet on Fightbeat - full of hardcore boxing fans - only me and cdogg and a couple of others correctly predicted Floyd by extremely boring decision, with a lot of you thinking Floyd by KO in an exciting fight etc :dunno:

That's because we thought Pacquiao was going to give it his all & go out on his shield if he had to. Instead he opted to play the role of the 'game coward' and drop a wide decision, then repeat "my shoulder" 50000x in the post-fight presser. He must still have nightmares about Marquez's right hand.

Mayweather wasn't exactly liberal with his offense... They both fought a fearful fight

Floyd fought afraid but he had a good reason to do so. The few times Manny tagged him he looked buzzed. Manny could've koe'd him easily if Floyd decided to do the stupid thing and trade with him.

Yeah, but nobody expected Floyd to be the aggressor, including Roach & Pacquiao. In fact, iirc both you & I stated that he would get KTFO if he tried to fight that way

Fraud running the f*ck away in fear of his life in that final round and numerous other rounds showed his cowardly ways. He played it ultra safe and made it obvious why he never wanted this fight in the past. Experts call that a boxing lesson when really it's a bitch who is scared to engage in a fight. Hitting an opponent's gloves doesn't mean you made contact and should be awarded the round.

I know ... I'm just saying I'm shocked people expected this to be exciting... They were scared of one another and I expected that...
