Yeah, ESPN/Grantland had an article the week of the fight called "The Boxer and the Batterer", about his woman beating ways.

I have to SMH at "we don't know the whole story, women lie" comments I read on boxing forums from people desperately defending him. I can understand it from casual fans who don't follow it, but hardcore boxing fans have been knowing about Floyd's outside-the-ring Sugar Ray Robinson impersonation for over 10 years! T

The Gatti fight almost didn't happen because of previous domestic violence charges. Larry Merchant made a wisecrack about Floyd's domestic violence issues before the Bruseles fight.

He went to jail because his CHILDREN were the ones who escaped his house to tell someone that Floyd was beating up their mom. The police report is very accessible, and shows what a vile, disgusting act he committed.

For the most part, I've always found him a beautiful boxer to watch, so I'll always enjoy watching his highlights along with many other boxer/woman-beaters (Tyson, SRR, SRL, Corrales, Gatti, hell even Louis and Arguello admitted to hitting women), but call it like it is. The guy's a woman-beater.
