You know who you are agreeing with....Peter Hitchens

Hitchens nailed it when he said that Cameron was an entirely humane and decent man who was no more a conservative than Tony Benn was. He refers to Cameron as "Mr Slippery"......Cameron is not a conservative and probably dislikes, if does not hate outright, the conservative party.

FPTP is an abysmal, batshit electoral system. I've been saying as such for over a decade and even wrote my UG dissertation on how it, along with the nonsensical constituency system, completely and utterly renders 80-odd% of voters irrelevant. I'm delighted UKIP has only one seat but that doesn't change the fact that, from a democratic perspective, one seat for all those votes is disgraceful.

Never for a second did I imagine these swivel-eyed loons would win a majority. Win the election, quite possibly, but never a majority. They'll carve through the place like a hot knife through butter - the war on the poor and working classes will be waged with unmitigated ferocity for the next five fucking years. Irish is right on Labour - they abandoned the working classes with New Labour, knowing it would get them elected where decent, left-wing folk like Foot and Kinnock couldn't but also knowing that the working classes could go fuck themselves. Hell, even I voted Lib Dem in 2010 as a protest against Labour Toryism. Sturgeon, who I've never liked but has run an excellent, personable anti-austerity campaign, saw what had happened and positioned herself firmly in the place that Miliband and Labour should have been. In Scotland, a working class heartland, it won an absolute shitload of votes.

The bottom fucking line in England is that Toryism - lower taxes, lower public spending, lower benefits bill, stocks and shares for all (sheer fucking selfishness, in other words), appeals more than helping others. Has done for decades. People are greedy fucking cunts.

I disagree with you and Hut on this point. Cameron is a proper Tory. He's not as wicked as Osborne, May, Gove and a few others, but he's a dye-in-the-wool Tory alright.

Maybe, but in the old style, unthinking mode of Tories who basically just think its the natural right of posh people to rule because...there is no because, thats just the way things are! He doesn't strike me as thoughtful enough to be ideological. I doubt he's even read Frederich Hayek let alone plunked down Road to serfdom in any Cabinet meetings like that fucking dead, rotting cunt used to do

    Same as London.

The Andrew Nether exposed scam of diversity to prop up Labour has borne fruits in London.

In every other part of the country, it has KILLED their vote.

He's not rabidly ideological in the same sense that fucking witch was but he's cut from the same cloth. He thinks the poor are the enemy, the NE and Scotland is a desolate wasteland full of wifebeating whippet owning savages, people on benefits are freeloading scum and private enterprise is the only way to make him and his pals even richer and more privileged than they already are.

People like Cameron don't need to read philosophical or political texts to believe these things. It's in their breeding.

This much I can agree with it. If you keep crossing collies with collies you get more collies.

But remember, it works at both ends of the social scale.

Keep crossing religious control-freaks with religious control-freaks and you will get more and mroe religious control-freaks.

    Etc.

I don't know who I'd rather have in charge.

The way I see it is promises are always made by newly elected PM's. On one side of the coin they stick to a handful of promises made, but on the other side they go against what they've promised. A majority of people are happy that the Conservatives won, a majority aren't. This is never going to change.

I hope Cameron takes a leaf out of Vinnie Jones' book and tackles immigration and asylum the way he would, in a ruthless manner. There's no room for leniency.

I think what Major Shake meant was two very large blocks.

In fact, Cons only got 31% of the vote.

A party that 69% of people did not vote for is in power.
