In 3 years, Floyd will be gone (hopefully). So will Pac, and Marquez. Predict who will be at the top of the P4P list?

Bear in mind, in 3 years GGG, Rigo, Kov, and Ward will all be in their mid 30's. With the way age is in boxing currently, one of them might STILL might be top P4P.

But besides them, looking at the guys right now who are in their early-to-mid 20's: Will it be Crawford? Loma? Andrade? Spence? Verdejo? Williams? Canelo? Thurman? Danny or Mikey Garcia? (HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt Crapnelo, or either Garcia, I just put them on the list cause they're all still young). OR, will it be someone we haven't even heard of or are forgetting?

I'd say out the list of the the younger guys, the three who have the best chance are Loma, Crawford, and Spence. With perhaps Verdejo as a sleeper.

I originally thought to make it 5 years, but 3 is a bit easier to predict than 5.

You've never at least HEARD of Errol Spence? Youtube him. Talented southpaw. Has skills, and defense, but isn't the "stinky" type that you hate. Has good pop, and is offensive minded.

    Beat Thurman in the amateurs.

I think it's highly likely that in 3 years Loma will be better than Rigo.

    It will still be Mayweather.

If the guy can make the money he makes and only have to fight once, maybe twice a year, and do it in a style that guarantees he won't get hurt doing it, why should he stop fighting?

It's debatable that Floyd is the best P4P fighter in the world NOW! I mean, all the mainstream considers him the P4P, but is he REALLY a better fighter at this point than Rigo, Ward, and Golov?

He beat Manny easily cause BOTH he and Manny are past their primes.

Lomachenko. He's probably my favourite fighter from the new breed. He's got the skills to pay the bills.

Crawford's my favorite of the new breed. After him it's Loma, Thurman, Spence, and Verdejo. Bear in mind, I realize Thurman's not a special fighter. Crawford, and Loma have the potential to be special.

Yeah Crawford is quality no doubt, he has an advantage in that there are more "names" for him to fight so I imagine he will be held in higher esteem than Lomachenko by the mainstream. Need to see more of Verdejo, I saw some of his early fights and you could tell he was talented, but was still a bit raw. How has he progressed in your opinion?

Well, there's two guys that he's ALWAYS gonna be compared to - Tito and Cotto. Obviously, Tito was already a world champion at 21. But Verdejo is only 21 and is ahead of the curve of Cotto at that age. But then again, Cotto turned pro at the age Verdejo currently is.

But he looks to be exciting, so even if he never reaches the level of Tito, and Cotto, he's gonna be still fun to watch.

If you compare him to current Ricans, he's DEFINITELY gonna be much better than Danny Garcia. Not that that's saying much.

If Klitschko is still active by then and has fought and beaten Wilder, Fury, Joshua and perhaps Stiverne or Boytsov in that period, then not only will be be pfp #1 but he will deserve to be pfp#1

My suspicion is that he will either lose to one of the above and or retire.

The pfp king will either be erroneously appointed bullshit, a la Hart vs Root, or some guy that nobody has of yet mentioned.

He would've beaten Manny easily when they were both in their primes, too. But yeah, I agree with that. I don't think Floyd is P4P #1 anymore, not with the current crop of guys out there.

No way Verdejo is pound for pound material.

Lomanchenko & Rigo are best of the guys mentioned

Joshua is the Olympic Gold Medallist, he would likely be undefeated and top 10 in 3 years. Wilder is the WBC Champ and Undefeated. Fury is Wlad's mandatory and undefeated.

So, if he meets the conditions I emphasize, in 3 years time, Wlad would be 42, on a 14-15 year unbeaten streak, would be the Undisputed champ and would have taken the undefeated records of the above three, plus a few others besides.

    Of course, Rigondeaux...Lomachencko...Ok. :wack:

Pacquiao will obviously move down to 140 and face Crawford and/or Loma. If that happens, either one could be p4p #1...

Arum will be retreating from 147.....wouldn't want to be a formidable 140 pound contender right now with no fan base and no relation with top rank....

Pac will never face Crawford or Loma.

I dunno about Loma, but based on how SHITTY Manny looked last Saturday, I would pick Crawford to beat him at this point. I'm actually quite confident that Crawford would whup this version of Manny.

If the young guys, I think Crawford is the best followed by Lomachenko. Both guys have SPECIAL talent indeed.

Verdejo is still in prospect mode but I think he has the tools. He's got the pedigree, power in both hands, and is exciting.

Errol Spence is another truly special talent. I'd say within 3 years he could be the man at 147 or 154.

Pac should just have a farewell fight against someone who's tailor made for him, like Garcia.

All things being equal he should do. He's bigger younger and is a very fluid guy.

His problems, a la Golota, is that he is a bungalow. Not much going on upstairs.

i expect top rank will push for a crawford pacquiao fight. they view crawford as the best fighter in boxing and would love to boost him into a ppv star at pacquaio's expense.
