Toney at his best would beat the brakes off Calzaghe at his best. No question in my mind (in which I think)

X...did you even watch the fight? Sometimes it gets annoying when a close fight ends up being called controversial...joe Calzaghe won that fight 7 rounds to 4 with 1 Even round......there is no way you can dispute that unless the person scoring the fight is an idiot.... Reid lalso got a point finally taken away after a combination of hitting on the break, trying to headbutt, and finally for 2 blows when he got angry after getting hit with a good bodyshot..so that even widened the score more...please people watch the actual fight before calling any decision questionable.....not to mention Reid even says he lost the fight until he changes his mind..LOL

Tony's decision was not questionable...that was a robbery...plain and simple

I used to hate Slappy Joe so much I even rooted for Mario Veit to beat him. But the truth is Reid didn't beat him. It was close, closer than expected obviously, but Joe won.

I thought Reid nicked it at the time, haven't watched it in full since though.

I don't need to. Calzaghe was a young Champ who had an off-night and a broken hand, against the most fired-up Reid I've ever seen (I remember him screaming during the ring walk). Reid was a good fighter who underachieved too, it's no big deal, lots of fighters have off-nights on the way up to lesser fighters where they lose or struggle. Bowe-Tubbs, Tyson-Tillis, Jones-Griffin etc. It's nothing really, he went on to beat better fighters than Reid anyway.

i understand that but he did not lose that fight at all

rounds 2,3,4,7,8, and 11 easily to calzaghe and rounds 5,6,9,10 easily to Reid

rounds 1 close and round 12 were close and I favor Calzaghe but lets give it to Reid just for the hell of it.....and guess what..he still loses because he had a point taken away for repeated fouls such as hitting while breaking, trying to use his head, and 2 intentional low blows in a row
