Did the PBF V Pac fight make you think more or less of them afterwards?

If anything, I think a little less of them now than I did before the fight.
Neither guy performed. PBF did what he often does; spent the fight fighting as little as possible.
It's hard for me to think of another upper echelon guy who fights/ fought so little when he fights.
I was coming round on PBF after the SSM fight where I thought he showed heart, but against Manny, he was back in bitch mode.

But Manny just didn't bring the fire that he had years ago. I do think that it had a LOT to do with PBF neutralising him, but you'd be blind to think he hadn't lost a few steps.
When he fought Hatton/ DLH, he fought like a man with nothing to lose. Against PBF he fought like a guy who already had it all.

But what I really didn't like was Manny refusing to give Floyd credit/ saying he thought he won, then coming up with an excuse.
It's the formula used by so many these day (David Haye, for example)-Get through the fight, with minimal risk-Complain about the decision-Appeal to an injury.

It's a pity. The fight promised so much, & delivered so little, & at the end I find myself thinking less of both guys.

Manny's excuses were poor. The fight was poor. After shelling out $100, we're poor.

I was actually surprised at how well pbf ran from pac. I thought pac would've had more success dealing with pbf's running.

On the other hand, pbf was reduced to running because he really couldn't defend against pac without doing so. So in a way, PBF's resorting to running is a testament to how effective pac was. Otherwise, pbf would not have humiliated himself by running. It was a last resort.

It was an embarrasing fight for both fighters. PBF fought scared & got booed. Manny looked ingenuine in claiming he won, & was not gracious in defeat. Not a good fight for boxing, or the legacy of either fighter.

Sly disappeared within days of the fight and didn't have much to gloat about after Floyd won.

Says everything you need to know about the fight.

I had the exact same thoughts after seeing Sly's response

It does say something when even Sly isn't gloating about his boy winning the "Fight of the century".

Manny is a sore loser. The previous excuses about blisters and shit, and now the shoulder. He just can't give props. Fuck him.
Floyd should retire already IMO. He did what I expected him to do. Figure out Manny in the first rounds then get enough points to get the decision. But really, I don't want to see anymore of that. It's getting tiresome IMO. My opinion of him is the same. He's an all time great with elite discipline and ring smarts. He's just past his prime and fights in survival mode most of the time because of his decline. It's time to pass the torch.

Sly was bitterly disappointed after the fight. He knows even he can't defend Fraud's running and chickensh*t tactics. It also seemed like he became far less of a Fraud fan when reading his posts after the fight.

He got points by not even landing clean punches but giving the illusion that he was landing. He actually didn't figure Pacman out at all. Anybody can run like a motherf*cker for 12 rounds but that sh*t doesn't win you fans.

Sly stopped posting a couple of days before the fight. I'm sure if he'd been here, he would've gloated. All the excuses, hating, and "what-if" scenarios from Pac fans would only make Floyd's victory all the more hilarious and gloat-worthy

There was nothing gloat-worthy about either guy. Manny shows fire only 2-3 times for the entire fight and actually throws less punches than an economical fighter. Floyd holds and runs like a bitch every time Pac gets within firing range. Two guys not taking any risks and one guy who is much better at that type of fight wins. Huge shock. I wonder how many people have even bothered watching it a second time.

I started to rewatch it, then a couple of rounds in, felt an overwhelming urge to do anything else.

TBH, I'm interested in PBF-Khan. Khan's lack of chin, & all the crticism that PBF (justifiably) recieved after the Pac "fight", may encourage PBF to be more agressive, & I am interested to see how he will deal with Khan's speed. Also Khan has got heart & will probably bring it.
Manny, I think is done. Don't know who's out there for him, I wouldn't pick him over Canelo.

He posted several times after the fight, about the fight - no gloating.

Must say I agree with this. I posted before the fight I was impressed with quite how easily Pacquiao dealt with a negative runner in Algieri (the style no one looks good against).

Obviously there's a big difference between Algieri's mindless running, and Floyd's intelligent running.

Yep. This is what me and cdogg said from day one, as soon as the fight was signed. Floyd is that type of fighter by nature, and Pacquiao has become a much more tepid fighter. It was obvious neither fighter would take risks and it would look like a sparring session. Obviously a slow negative fight would favour Floyd, that's why it was easy to pick.

There's a guy who has posted slo-mo rounds on youtube in order to prove that Manny won the majority of rounds. It's actually quite compelling. A lot of the shots I though PBF landed, Manny caught on his gloves/ avoided, & Manny landed more than I thought. From what I've seen it was a LOT closer than I thought.
Manny may have actually edged it...

I personally had it much closer than most other people, 7 to 5. I don't think it was even close to a domination/schooling, and there's absolutely no way Floyd landed twice as many shots.

The commentary was sickening, they were riding Floyd's nuts hard, and acting like he was dominating Pacquiao from start to finish.

The slow mo replays were amusing even at the time btw, on several occassions they'd be nuthugging Floyd, then cue the replay, which would show him missing and Pacquiao landing

Do you have a link to the vid?

I had it about 7-5 too. Floyd always had the lead in the fight and he definitely won, but it was never this runaway victory people keep claiming

You don't win rounds by landing nothing and running away like a faggot. Floyd lost the fight.

I expected a shit fight between two guys who didn't really want to fight and that's what happened. The fight was a bore. There was no schooling, no mastery, just a boring, high-end sparring match with Mayweather victorious by virtue of fighting his fight. Pacquiao barely tried, Mayweather was content to cruise and take no chances. Pacquaio and his sniffers can cry all they want but he put in minimal effort when he had the chance. Mayweather and his sniffers can try and re-write history and pretend that some incredible display of greatness took place but he fought an overwhelmingly negative fight and was as safe as milk.

The only question I have in my mind (in which I think) is, will the butt baby Pacquiao gives birth to in February 2016 have the cars.. or will it take after its mother, and just have losses?

I have thought Floyd three times after the fight, and Pac four times. Both are considerably smaller numbers than I had the month before the fight, so I think less of them now

You never fought with a torn rotator cuff, cdogg. It's a killer. Pacman deserves $100 million bonus for still going out there despite being crippled and making Fraud run like a little fairy cunt for 12 rounds.

  30. Hanz

Not even black american men were impressed with Fraud's performance. They all called it indirectly a chickensh*t run away style that Fraud employed that night. Nothing to gloat about. You notice guys like REED, Sly, and bigdawg were completely silent after the fight, despite being Fraud's 3 biggest fans in the world?
Even Neil is lost for words on the matter and not really talking sh*t. He knows Fraud f*cked himself over with that performance. Might look good in the boxing almanacs but people who saw Fraud's career pan out do not rate him as anything other than some boring little motherf*cking faggot fairy bitch. Especially the new fans of boxing who tuned in. They seemingly left just as fast.
