Hatton wanted no part of him? C'mon now guys ... Now we are not only pretending that Cotto has ever beaten a good fighter in his prime with anything approaching "ease" but we are pretending the guy was feared and avoided?
Hatton was a dominant champion, But Cotto faced better comp at 140. Other than Kostya, who did Hatton fight in the top ten?
i remember being at some top rank press conference and todd duboef was asking media guys what they thought about cotto facing hatton. whether he should take the fight or not, etc
I think Cotto destroys him. I laugh actually because i am more of a hatton fan than cotto. You hardly ever see me defending cotto on this site.
Besides, the "other than" game is stupid when you're taking about Kostya Tszyu and the guys Cotto fought
This is the second time I can recall arguing with you about Cotto where you made an irrational claim about the guy ... The other time was concerning Cotto's "great", "monster" left hook... Cotto destroys Hatton? It would be the only time he ever did any such thing to an elite opponent ... More likely, he fights well and starts to fade from Hatton's relentless cagefighting and is stopped late in front of a crying Mrs. Cotto, bosom shaking with grief
so 2 times in Cotto's 12 year career you remember arguing with me about him. Did you just prove something? And yes, Cotto doesnt have a great hook right? That was your position right?
No, like twice in the last year he most certainly does not have a great left hook ... This was explained to you by me, illuminati and whiskey (possibly X) and ended with you attempting to change the meaning of "great"
I stand by it. Mayweather did nothing at 140. After Hatton's beating of Kostya, i expected him to fight top guys. He didnt.
What did you mean by Cotto "was a legit title holder of more legit titles than Hatton or Mayweather"?
We talked about them being title holders. We know Mayweather won his title against Gatti. Which is why i think Cotto's belt was more legit. In the heat of the moment, i may have said some shit that downplayed the may's belt more than it should have. But it was more of a downplay of May's reign and who he won it from.
In that vein Hatton's title win is more legit than both, yeah? You were also incorrectly under the impression Cotto was WBC champ.
