Weird, Garcia has really dropped off after gaining a LOT of respect for beating Lucas, who most people thought would batter him.
Garcia n his daddy are doing their best to stay undefeated until the BIG MONEY fight comes around.....Malignaggi? Ohh well at least I will enjoy that faggot getting his face bashed in....again.
Joke of a fight at this point. Garcia is so vulnerable to technical boxers, that I feel if it was the Paulie of years ago that he could really trouble Garcia with his movement. But Paulie's legs and reflexes are shot. If Garcia doesn't stop him then he should be ashamed of himself. The plan BETTER be for Garcia to fight the winner of Broner-Porter. I would imagine that's possibly Haymon's plan.
Daddy Garcia KNOWS his Sons LUCK has Run Out... Credit to Garcia for BEING Undefeated @ this Stage, but his Skills, Talent Level and PERFORMANCES Simply Don't Match his Record... Malignaggi's More Renown as a Fucking COMMENTATOR than a Fighter, These Days...Akin to Adonis Stevenson Facing Roy Jones or Antonio Tarver, in his Next Bout... REED:red:
agREED.. I think a prime Paulie would give Garcia a very tough fight. But at this point, Paulie is more of a commentator than a fighter.
Prime Paulie could take a good beating..... Plus Garcia doesn't put his punches together...he is one punch at a time...lands the left hook...misses wildly with the right hand....or lands the right and is waayyy of with the left hooki.....Garcia is simple.....mierda....
this "prime paulie" myth you speak of never beat anyone anywhere near as good as garcia. the guys career was utter excrement.
I've never been that impressed with Garcia. Paulie could box & move, and he could take a punch. I don't think he'd beat Garcia, but it's not a cakewalk for him either.
People are thick. Paulie had no power and bad hands and still managed to win a world title and defend it. He must have had something going for him.
Garcia is hard to figure out. He looked sensational against Lucas. I wonder if Garcia is getting caught up in the fame and money. He must have been out of shape to gas out after 7 rounds of a snails pace fight against Peterson.
Maybe but he seems to fight to the level of his opponents. That probably includes his training regiment. Properly trained and motivated or not it doesn't matter a whole lot in the grand scheme of things as he's simply not all that great.
Garcia Sr is probably going to go on at length about Italians taking American jobs and getting huge media credence and pissing on the flag until somebody takes him aside and gives him some Ellis Island 101.
I feel exactly the same way. I used to be somewhat of a Garcia fan, I kind of liked the fact that he was a meat and potatoes fighter who was better than he looked. I tend to like wolf in sheep's clothing types. But now he's rapidly moving up the list of people I want to see KHTFO (bayhbahahbahabhaahbahaahkbaba mhba), simply because of his absurd choice of opponents.
All Garcia has to do is embrace the black cultural experience, tell Poppa Garcia that he is not his dad, that Leroy Brown is, and Garcia can go back to knocking out fools again.
He identified as black before the fight. Soon after he went back to identifying as Rican and struggled against Pellet Peterson.
I agree that he's not that great. Definitely with you there. But I still feel that he should not have had such a tough time with Lamont Peterson. At least not with how that fight was going. I mean, Peterson did nothing but run the first 7 or so rounds, then by the 8th, all of a sudden Garcia is gassed and he goes on to take a beating. :scratcher: It's not like Peterson was applying pressure the whole fight and making Danny burn himself out. It was one of the strangest fights I've ever seen, honestly.
