Mike Tyson or Joe Frazier

I can't see Tyson dropping Ali as late as the 15th with a left hook. Joe had that late-rounds power, I think he had a better hook, he could do damage with it late in fights.

I don't dispute the logic that says it is wrong to say that Joe had the better hook as it is all he had.

The fact that Frazier only had a left hook does not, per se, mean it was better. I agree with that much.

But if all Joe had was a hook, it must have been damn good to win him fights like those against Ali.

 

I'm the biggest Tyson fan in history but he should be disqualified from all talks because he was a major steroid abuser which even Holyfield brought to the forefront. Look at their ripped physiques compared to those of Frazier and Ali.
Tyson and Holyfield were nowhere near as big and muscled without the steroids.

 

Tyson was never on gear Hanzy....he boosted up in Prison on the weights and by not running like he used to.

 

Frazier also had the balls to throw it at any stage...Tyson woulda quit throwing punches against Ali by round 3...really unless he was fighting a scared scrub you could basically forget about him having a hook altogether

 

Yeah, look at their physiques compared to fighters from the 70s, like, uh, Ken Norton ...

 

Ken Norton looked like a comic book ... Probably walked around shirtless all the time, macking on ladies

 

Norton was tiny. He weighed around 208lbs. He just had low body fat.
