igoudala played well in every game. curry didnt. steve kerr said himself at one point that igoudala had been their best player
Again, people are confusing a key player with an MVP. In the Lakers first Shaq/Kobe championships Kobe was the key player, Shaq was the MVP. In this case, Steph should have been it after they decided not to jerry-west the award to Bron.
curry was nowhere near as dominant as oneal. he only had a few good games out of the 6. igoudala held james to below 40% FGs after the guy was shitting all over barnes the first few games. igoudala was also a better decision maker than curry.. the last four games Igoudala had 17 assists and 1 turnover.
Well whether Iggy was MVP or not is moot. Kerr got robbed out of coach of the year. Can somebody explain to me how Bud gets it for Atlanta when the Hawks clearly fell off and seemed to lose focus while Golden State maintained their dominance the entire season? Even during the finals (and I don't know if he read my post or figured it out himself) Kerr finally realized Bogut was killing them and subbed him for Iguodala, and the Warriors win the next 3 games. You think Scott Brooks would have done a move like that? Hell no, Brooks would ride and die with his original starters and that my friends is why he's not coaching today.
Congrats to Nobleart, this year's winner of the Bracket Challenge!!! 50.00 to you sir, in the form of Money Order or Visa Gift Card, PM me which you would like and where to send. Thanks for everyone for participating!
Sorry, but the Stats DO NOT Support your Statement... Game 1 (Curry) 26pts, 4boards, 8asts, 2stls, (Iguodala) 15pts, 3boards, 2asts, stl, blk Game 2 (Curry) 19pts, 6boards, 5asts, (Iguodala) 7pts, 6boards, 5asts, stl Game 3 (Curry) 27pts, 6boards, 6asts, 3stls, blk (Iguodala) 15pts, 5boards, 5asts, blk Game 4 (Curry) 22pts, 2boards, 7asts, stl, (Iguodala) 22pts, 8boards, stl Game 5 (Curry) 37pts, 7boards, 4asts, 2stl, (Iguodala) 14pts, 8boards, 7asts, 3stls Game 6 (Curry) 25pts, 6boards, 8asts, 3stl, (Iguodala) 25pts, 5boards, 5asts, 2stls REED:mj:
Bullshit... Bron Having to Take an INORDINATE Amount of Attempts is what Contributed to his Subpar %, NOT Iguodala...Did Iguodala ALSO "Hold" Bron to an Average of 35.8ppg for the Series???...3 40pt Games and a 39pt Game???... Can't Have it Both Ways... REED:laugh11:
For the 1st Time in NBA History, 1 Player Lead BOTH Teams in Scoring, Rebound AND Assists...That Player is LeBron James... w/Out Question, he was THE Most "Valuable" Player of the 2015 NBA Finals...NOBODY Else was Even Close and Giving the Award to Iguodala Makes a MOCKERY of the Finals MVP... REED:baa:
Ask steve Kerr who his best player was in the series. Other Than game 5 igoudala was better than curry
Clearly, you DIDNT REED the Posted Stats.... For Example, in Game 2, Curry MATCHED Iguodala's Rebound and Assist #'s, while also Outscoring him, Which WASN'T Hard, Considering Iguodala had 7 Fucking Points... Yet, to YOU, Game 5 is the Only One where Curry Outplayed Him???. Curry Equaled or OUTSCORED Iguodala in Every Game. Equaled or OUTASSISTED Iguodala in all But 1 Game....And Curry Wasn't Getting Lit Up for 36pts a Game Either, or "Holding" his Man to that, in Your Vernacular... REED
I watched the games, all of them. Curry didn't have efficient games (aside from game 5). James didn't either. He was most efficient when guys other than igoudala were checking him. It wouldn't have been an outrage to give it to curry but when game 6 was almost over I thought to myself igoudala was most deserving
You Said Iguodala "Played Well Every Game", Suggested he was "More Consistent Offensively" than Curry and Topped it Off by saying he "Held" Bron to a Low FG%.... NONE Of that is the Least Bit Accurate... REED
They are all accurate statements. Which games didn't igoudala play well? You want to cling blindly to stats without providing any context, except when considering James fg%
When Iguodala was in the game, LeBron James shot 38.1 percent from the field, scoring 26 points per 36 minutes with 2.9 turnovers. With Iguodala on the bench, James shot 44 percent, averaging 35 points per 36 minutes with 2.2 turnovers. With Iguodala as the primary defender, opponents shot 37.2 percent overall, and he gave up free throws the same percentage of time (10.8 percent) that he forced a turnover, via Synergy Sports.
I would have given the MVP to Curry, especially when you take into consideration that Curry generally facilitated or had a hand in most of Iggy's own offensive stats. However, considering the spark he gave his team, and his defense, I'm not going to argue Iggy getting it, and I doubt Curry cares a lick that he didn't win it. Probably is happy for his teammate. I would not have given it to Lebron. Maybe if it went 7 games, with the last game down to the wire, I would have considered it.
What your Stat DOESN'T Take into Consideration is the Number of Ill Advised, FADEAWAY 3's Bron was Taking...Instead, your Stat BLINDLY Credits Iguodala w/"Good Defense", Every Time Bron Missed a Shot... REED:boohoo:
he just didnt shoot a lot in that game. the warriors lost that game because curry was hoisting up bricks all night. you want to point to game 2 as the reason curry deserved MVP over him? :mut:

The idea I guess is the Hawks exceeded expectations and had less talent. I don't always agree with Coach of the Year for that reason.
A case for Curry getting the MVP... In the 4th quarter of the last three games of the series... Curry 36 points, Lebron 26 points Iggy 20 points As bad as Curry shot in games 2 and 3, when his team went down 2-1, he showed up in the 4th quarter in the most important games in the series moreso than Lebron and Iggy. Curry had 13 points of those points in the final quarter in game 6.
