'Pay up or it'll be economic disaster for you Greece!' Bit like supervising construction of a Burmese railway, innit - inflict enough exhaustion and pain on the prisoner & eventually you cant make him get up no matter how hard you beat him.

anyhoo, last thought on the greek thing - its not that they do or don't need reforms, just that the question's totally digressive. Depression/recession are the terms used to describe periods where there isnt enough spending to sustain output/employment at an acceptable level, & Greece is in the most extreme deflationary depression since the 30s. The country might be weighed down with structural problems like overblown pensions for certain sub-groups or government procurement thats riddled with rent seeking and waste or any onerous regulatory burdens etc and fixing them may (/may not) be laudable goals or even prerequisites for its long term development but doing so won't address the immediate crisis which is the depression (ricardian equivalance confidence fairies dont exist). You can certainly set the table & maximize the room available for growth in some hypothetical future boom by streamlining & cutting out waste but you cant shrink your way to growth

Amazing the randomness of one post can bring aboot a complete surprise and some fascinating info.

The closest Ah've got tae knowing a pro fitba player is ma wife's cousin who plays in the Austrian Bundesliga. He's a good laddie and very much living the dream.

Depends on the game mate, you'd have a tough time getting tickets for us v Brentford or Fulham especially, most London derbies (let alone West London derbies) would be tricky, but for matches against everyone else (with a couple of exceptions) it should be fairly easy. Get yourself down, it's a great experience.

I can't really blame them. I'm not that high on Sterling (at least not 40 million high) but i don't think they want a repeat of the Suarez situation. At least with Suarez he was sold to a foreign club. If you're going to sell one of your best prospects it's always going to be better if you don't send them to a direct competitor.

Austin would only move to Chelshit for the money. He won't get ahead of Costa and Falcao. He's better off moving to Noocassell for first team football and to have any chance of actually playing for England instead of sitting on the bench.
