They interviewed thurman on boxingscene and he said either he or brook should be next for mayweather. Isn't that fucking weird? Rather than making a case as to why he and he alone should get his shot at mayweather, he lumps himself in with brook... and says he "likes myself and brook for mayweather?"

Does this sound like a guy who really wants the fight? Or does it sound like a guy who wants to fight Julio Diaz again for some easy money on showtime?

It is strange. Maybe he really respects Brook. I know for a fact he dogs Khan out every time his name is mentioned, though.

Yeah, actually it seemed like his main reason for even discussing it was to make it clear Khan did not deserve a shot.

Shouldn't he be calling brook out instead? I really think with thurman we have a guy totally comfortable fighting the diaz's and the soto karass's....

That's what these cable contracts do. Guy has no incentive to step up.

I think Khan's comments of "No other welterweight deserves a Floyd fight more than me" really got under Thurman's skin.

I admit, I like Thurman, but I'm disappointed he's fighting Collazo. I wish that fight was scraped and that he would fight Spence on the Floyd undercard.

But it really seems like Thurman doesn't any parts of Spence...

I think the top guys at 147 will avoid Spence as long as they can. Plus, he's likely to end up at 154 before any of those guys, so they won't risk it.
