Shitty news. Doesn't look like MUFC know how to build a team at all. Just buy buy buy and hope it works out like City and Chelsea.

Van Gaal knows Schweinsteiger which surely helped the deal go through but basically yeah.

Modern club football is the sporting equivalent of the stock market.

Why don't you guys think he's a good signing? He's a solid footballer. Got a great eye for a pass, is very determined, mentally strong, attack minded and can defend. Also, he has leadership qualities.

I'm doing absolutely nothing this weekend. laddie. Young Jimmeh is feeling quite fragile today. I'll definitely be watching the cricket, keeping a close eye on transfer dealings and I cannot wait for the Djokovic-Federer final.

Three Magpies is an auld boozer down past Hounslow West in the general direction of Heathrow, it's advertized as being on Bath Road Heathrow.

I was working in Slough all week, I am burned to a fucking crisp. I get off the Piccadilly at Hounslow West and then 81 bus down to Brian Clough for the day.

    Fun times. :wack:

Slough is nice enough in parts, it's very moderns, as the Pakistani guy next door says.

I hope England win. It annoys fuck out of my English housemate. He's of Indian lineage, and has profited immensely out of growing up in England and London, and accordingly it is natural that he hates England. :wack:

He's only my housemate when I am fortunate enough to be staying in Greenford of course

You can tell if England have won or lost because he'll have the highlights on if they have lost. And off if they have won.

Well on Bayern's side they signed Xabi Alonso last year to step in because Schweinsteiger was injured. However Alonso is also up there in years himself. What are they going to do to fill that gap?

From United's perspective they just signed a 30 year old player with lots of wear and tear to a 3 year deal who's never played a day in the EPL.

Precisely. They have signed a name rather than a player.

5 years ago this would have been a big deal.

I think LVG has lost the fucking plot, to be honest.
