The rest of November includes an international break (fuck!) and two away games (double fuck). We'll see if I'll be able to attend a CL game. Hoping to do so.

I have to book my vacation a year in advance, so I took the whole month of November off. Maybe there will be a league cup home game, hopefully.

Yep....but the downside is that it queers the pitch when people can throw that sort of cash around.

They usually have the League Cup round of 16 at the end of October. But it will slide a week each way depending on the schedule. This season because of the Euros in the summer, everything is pushed a week up from last season except for third thought fifth rounds of the FA Cup.

Also, even if it's an away game, most grounds in England are close enough to go up and back same day.

Football League Cup Rounds 4 and 5:

Round 4 (Final 16) will be played on October 27-28

Round 5 (Quarterfinals) will be played December 1-2

The two away games aren't very far from London. West Brom (Nov 21) and Norwich (Nov 28) and the train station is right next to Arsenal. You'd be up and back easily but the tricky part may be getting your hands on away tickets. I had that problem and it sucks. You might have to pay a scalper (tout over there.)

Champions League plays one round of Group Stage in November. November 24/25 but it is 50/50 Arsenal will be at home.

I don't think I can afford to stay in London for a month. I should have saved up more. Going to San Diego/Vegas for the last half of the month. There's a CL game on November 3rd that I'm hoping is a home game.

Schneiderlin to MUFC for 25 million. They are just spending for the hell of it at this point. If they do lose Di Maria and De Gea, they will be shit. Higher spending level version of Liverpool.

Di Maria didn't do a lot last season, and that was partly down to injury, but I think they're getting rid of him too quickly.

But the one good thing is they have strength in depth in midfield now.

Yeah. Expect Rooney to start in the Holding Midfield slot next season, Rojo on the right wing with Schneiderlin up front on his own.

It's beyond a coup. The SS could be having their tea on Mt Olympus and it would pale into insignificance compared to this shit:-

    1. Streamlining VAT
    2. Broadening the tax base
    3. Sustainability of pension system
    4. Adopt a code of civil procedure
    5. Safeguarding of legal independence for Greece ELSTAT — the statistic office
    6. Full implementation of automatic spending cuts
    7. Meet bank recovery and resolution directive
And also get the ball moving on another five points:

    1. Privatize electricity transmission grid
    2. Take decisive action on non-performing loans
    3. Ensure independence of privatization body TAIPED
    4. De-Politicize the Greek administration
    5. Return of officials from its creditors to Athens

I think some of you are being quite harsh on Van Gaal. I don't think he's clueless, after all he's won a champions league and won titles in Holland, Spain and Germany. He shouldn't be judged just yet as he hasn't finished his managerial stint at United.

So you can only judge a manager at the end of his tenure? That makes absolutely no sense.

He's only been in charge for one season, has had some bad luck with injuries to new signings, plus he took over a poor United team. You can't expect a miracle so quickly. It'll take time for him to get the team he wants before challenging for major honours.

He took over a United team the GUTS of which, the vast majority of whom, had won a PL title the season before.

He then signed DiMaria for Megabucks

And ONLY for Gerrard and Sterling, there is a very very real chance they would have finished 5th.

He did but that was under Fergie who we know was a special manager who retired at the right time knowing he took that team as far as they could go. I just think LVG needs more time before we can truly judge how he's done/doing at United. These new signings he's got in might just click.

Well....they have made massive profits off the likes of Suarez and Sterling.

Now we need to go and get some quality.

Have you heard anything about who they're looking at? I read that a while ago they were hoping to work out some kind of swap with Balotelli for Mario Gomez but that was well before any of the Sterling nonsese.

I think Firmino was a good signing but we'll have to wait and see. They certainly have to spend now. No Suarez, Sterling or Gerrard.
