UFC 190 - ROUSEY vs. CORREIA

Rousey has legit power. As I've mentioned before, you rarely see one punch KO's with the chicks. Dropping Correia flat on her face demonstrates something special in women's MMA.

 

That was just the finish. She was really out before those last two shots. Rousey just missed with a left hook shortly before that sequence that would have turned her lights out.

Rousey did get tagged a couple times but walked through the shots

 

It was one right on the button that put her to sleep.

Rondz,looked really really happy walking out after the fight. :) All that shit Joe Rogan was talking about her, it's all true. Ronda is up there with the greatest martial artists of all time.

 

Ronda will grab Cyborg, ragdoll her, and make it look easy. Gina Carano got mount on Cyborg, brielfly. Ronda will do that and sub her in the first round.

 

She punched more like a truck when she was on masteron. If the drug testing works out and it's a fair fight, Ronda will win. 9.5 times out of 10.

 

Ronda's last 2 fights took 34 and 14 seconds. This would be the biggest matchup in womens's MMA. :) Miesha Tate has earned another title shot, but Ronda / Cyborg seems like a bigger potential fight.

 

Ronda would make millions going up 5 pounds for a catch weight fight with Cyborg. She can do whatever she wants, though. She's the UFC champion and the biggest star in women's MMA. As champion all she's required to do is fight the #1 contender in her weight class.

 

Cyborg will never go down to 135. On that level playing field, she's no match for Rousey. She knows that.

Cyborg is wallowing away making pennies in Invicta. Meanwhile Rousey is getting rich and enjoying the rewards of being the most popular MMA fighter in the world. Cyborg needs Rousey and not the other way around.

Poor Meisha Tate. Before she clearly wasn't the better grappler. Now she's also at a disadvantage in the striking department.

She wins all on stoppages usually punches or knees but the people she is stopping are not on the level.

Gina even mounted her at one point!!

Rousey would dominate her like a drunken bum

While Ronda's Striking STILL Leaves a Lot to Be Desired, it IS Improving...

Yep. Her striking, and reaction to getting hit, is head and shoulders beyond where it was. The thing that is really undeniable is that her punching power is the best in women's MMA.

TKO's are relatively common but single punch KO's where chicks collapse face first into the canvas just don't happen with the women.

The fight ending right hand was a thing of beauty. She turned that cross over perfectly and hit Bethe at the end of the punch.

Fight ending punching power, next level submissions and an unparalleled killer extinct point to another brutally painful night for Tate.

 

Cyborg has that kind of power too. In some of her fights, she looks like a man beating up a little girl. Effortless. She's just never fought someone like Ronda before.

 

The only person who can beat Rousey at this point is Rousey. If she ever loses interest or loses focus because of all of the non-MMA stuff she's got going on, that will be her downfall. But right now, there isn't a woman in the sport who can touch her, and that includes Guyborg.

Cyborg has great striking but even her power isn't on Rousey's level. Cyborg has finished many fights via TKO with a barrage of punches. But that one punch, face-plant power is a different thing all together.

The roid-built 145 pound Cyborg would be a challenge but a natural, 135 pound Cyborg wouldn't even beat the McMann's or Kaufmann's of the division.
