Sherdog has an article about Fedor possibly coming back. I'll always be a Fedor fan, so seeing him come back and get mashed would be beyond depressing. Still, as a lifetime Fedor fan, I would watch and I would hope against what would likely be a disappointing showing.

That being said, I'd be rooting for him to come back and win. It would be the greatest comeback in MMA history. I know that the UFC has only been around since 1993 or so, but it would be a heck of a thing to see.

He says his injuries have healed. But unless he is training differently, it wont matter. My guess is that he goes to Sherdog for a few wins before calling it a day again.

Of course my dream would be for him to fight at UFC 200, but i dont think it will happen.

That Sherdog promotion can be brutal.

I can see a guy like Fedor watching Werdum and Arlovski ascend to the top of the UFC ladder and convincing himself that he can do the same thing. He can't. Those guys had room to improve their game. Fedor doesn't. He was overachieving already and doesn't have the physical tools to compete today.

I hope he goes to Bellator. He can beat guys like Kongo and Lashley and be champ.

Yeah Bellator is the way to go. And they will give him everything he wants. If he is just looking to stay busy and make money, that's his best bet. If he is looking to compete with the current best, he can go to UFC, but He most likely will get beat bad. He is almost 40 and is past his prime.

I thought Fedor could be Strikeforce champion too. He lost badly 3 times in a row. I understand why a fighter would want to make a comeback, but I'd rather not see Fedor get brutalized or knocked out again. The Bigfoot fight was painful to watch as a fan.

Juiceless Mir seems a very winnable fight.

I'd like to see it. It is pretty much a win win scenario, if he does good it enhances his legacy, if he gets beat up it won't really hurt his status much.

Yeah and I'm sure Mir would love that challenge too. He already destroyed a couple of PRIDE legends.

If Fedor won, it would set up a rematch with Werdum for the title. They'd give him a title shot just from his reputation.

The Werdum loss was a fluke anyways.

Werdum is much better today than when he beat Fedor. I don't think a rematch would be close, but it would be fun. It would make tons of money for the UFC.

Fluke? Fedor made big mistakes in the guard of the best HW BJJ fighter in history. No fluke.

I am willing to debate this with you only if you keep and open mind, listen and dont ridicule just because you disagree. Only on those terms will i probably explain my position on why it was a fluke.

I liked Fedor a lot, but he was kind of the best of the previous generation or "old guard" of MMA.

Especially a few years older, I can't imagine him competing with the best in the division.

If he comes back it will be go to bellator for sure. No way in hell he goes to UFC. He would get murdered by most of their top heavyweights. Bellator will feed him Ken Shamrocks, Royce Gracies, Dan Saverns, Randy Coutures and Kimbo Slices' and try to sell it as "super fights". What would be absolutely hilarious is if Kimbo actually KO'ed Fedor. It's actually possible given that Fedor's stand up is very wild and basic, but lucky for him Kimbo has no chin. Oh well good for them, as long as nobody tries to actually claim Fedor is a top heavyweight.

As silly and meaningless as it is, Fedor-Kimbo would be a huge fight for Bellator.

I wonder if Kimbo would make it longer than Tim Sylvia. Sylvia was awkward and oafish, but there's no way Kimbo makes it as long as Brett Rogers did.

Man, I hope not. He's still somewhat chubby and soft around the midsection. He might have been doing what he said though---healing up old injuries. He trained like a demon in the old days.

It's possible he's been hitting the weights and not roiding. He knows how. I read an article, and I believe he ran a gym when he was in the army. He was much more buff when he focused on lifting weights. There's an old picture around somewhere of him and Alex looking more cut than they did when they fought. They were younger in the picture and hitting the weights.

    Found it. Took a minute.

Fedor looks jacked in those pictures.

Werdum wants to fight Fedor on the Aldo-McGregor card. If that happens, imagine Fedor being UFC HW Champion in 2015.

Aldo / McGregor and Fedor / Werdum 2 - the biggest selling UFC PPV ever? Fedor doesn't deserve a title shot based on recent accomplishments, but he was the greatest heavyweight of all time. A rematch to avenge that loss would be a big story.

I aint going to argue this point, but he wasnt the greatest heavyweight. He was the greatest anyweight. The True GOAT.

And Ronda wants to fight on that card too. Suppose to be at Dallas Stadium

I thought Anderson was the greatest PFP, but that has been argued to death already. Fedor was possibly the greatest fighter of all time. In the top few at worst.

Ronda / Cyborg on that card would make it almost too good to be true. It probably is too good to be true. Aldo / McGregor would be enough to make it worth buying for me.

Well, I don't even like protein supplements like the shit they are holding, but they don't look juiced up. I know there are exceptions, but to me, the traits of being juiced are largish muscles, and especially, when combined with very low body fat. The picture of Fedor higher up the thread doesn't provide any clue as to whether or not he is juicing now.
