How Does Guillermo Rigondeaux Fare Against Jr. Featherweight Greats like Wilfredo Gomez, Manny Pacquiao, Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Daniel Zaragoza, etc...

For what it's Worth & for as Much as REED Looooooooooooves Rigondeaux, he Admittedly CAN'T See Dude Beating the Likes of Pacquiao, Morales or Barrera @ '26 or Higher...But Was '22 LOW Enough to Justify a "W"???...

I don't even like the boring Cuban, but he'd have schooled Morales and MAB.

I think Rigo would beat Barrera at 122 but I'm not 100% convinced he beats Morales.

Styles wise, that is a tough fight for him.

I don't think he would beat Pac either. Young Pac at 122 is a COMPLETELY different animal than overrated ass Donaire. He had the speed, and unpredictable angles to catch Jackal eventually, and I don't have much faith in Rigo's chin withstanding Manny's firepower.

Pacquaio at 122 was one of the hardest hitters I've ever seen in boxing BUT he was a largely one-handed fighter... He was more dynamic later on... Rigo's chin is the only question mark, for me, but he certainly has the skills to frustrate Pac and the power to keep him wary

One handed, BUT had the blinding handspeed. Plus, unlike the 2015 pussy version of Manny, at 122 Manny had no fucks to give. He'd walk through Hell to get to Rigo.

Rigo is an EXCELLENT fighter, don't get me wrong, but has he become overrated because of how overrated Donaire was? Yes.

Still, I think he'd have outboxed MAB and Morales.

Gomez and Pac are different stories. Those guys had the dynamic power to shatter Rigo's chin.

I don't disagree that Pac could win, I just don't think it's a slam dunk

Pac is one of my favourite fighters but Rigo has a very real shot at schooling him. If Manny can't land consistently, he's done. I'd actually agree that it's Morales who has the best shot at solving the puzzle due to his range and willingness to throw.

And Rigo is not overrated in the slightest. Donaire may have been, but Rigondeaux is the truth.

Morales had one of the lowest ring IQ's of any elite fighter we've ever seen. He wouldn't figure out shit.

    THIS...

Pac was STRICTLY a Souf'Paw 1-2 Fighter @ '22...He Also LEAPED In w/the Left Cross Even MORE Frequently than he's Done in Recent Years...

Being a Souf'Paw Himself, Rigondeaux Obviously WOULDN'T Land the Same Kill Shot JM Marquez Eventually Did, but the Counter Right Hook Would Be There...It's Also Conceivable Rigondeaux BEATS Pac to the Punch w/his Own Left Cross...

Pacquiao was a Raw, Athletic, Untamed BEAST @ the Weight...Rigondeaux is Faaaaaaaaaaar More SOPHISTICATED in his Approach, Puts Much More Thought and Planning Into What He's Doing AND he's an Exquisite Counterpuncher w/POWER & Athleticism of his Own...

It'd Be an INTRIGUING Fight, but REED Leans SLIGHTLY towards Rigondeaux...6-4, if they Fought 10 Times...

    agREED...

9 Times Out of 10, Morales Fought the OTHER Guys Fight...He BRAWLED w/Brawlers and BOXED w/Boxers...No Way in Hell Does Morales BEAT Rigondeaux @ his OWN Game...

if rigondeaux wouldve turnt pro after the first olympics in 2000 he wouldve KOd pacquiao at 122lbs, and i think he wouldve beaten morales, barrera and marquez.

He's nowhere near Rigo's ring IQ but he has the style and physical advantages to win. His willingness to keep throwing whilst consistently being punched in the face gives him the best chance IMO.

Its possible. Wish he would have done so. It's a shame that the prime pro version of Rigo is a Rigo that's already past his physical prime.

Yeah, REED Isn't Sure Wading Into Rigondeaux, Taking 2 (HOPING) to Land 1, is the Recipe for Beating Him...

The thing is, he WILL land. This is Erik Morales we're talking about, not Paul Casey. I would actually FAVOUR Rigo, but Morales has the best chance to get the win.
