The Purge

Cool concept, reasonably entertaining film. Anyone seen it?

 

In the time you were gone we already discussed the original AND the sequel.

 

The sequel that came out last year was actually A LOT better!

The first one with Ethan Hawk was pretty fuckin mediocre. Like a 5/10

The Purge 2: Anarchy was everything the original should have been. Still not a great movie, but a lot better than the first. It's like a 7/10.

Overall, the CONCEPT behind the franchise is great. I feel like the right film maker coulda made a classic horror movie from that concept.

 

I didn't even know there was a sequel.

I'll have to check it out.

First one was GARBAGE...annoying family...annoying fucking FAGGOTY son....stupid daughter....stupid bf of daughter...

2nd was MUCH BETTER....

Somewhere along the line in the first one, it went from an interesting movie to a generic home-invasion thriller. It just went to crap roughly about halfway thru the movie.

The sequel was pretty good.
