Walters vs Gamboa

Gamboa Beats Walters, in REED's Opinion...Walters Isn't in the Same Zip Code as Crawford, TACTICALLY, so the Loss to TC will have ZERO Bearing on this Bout...

I don't like the inactivity for Gamboa going into this fight.

Not against a young and hungry champion who's active and can KO him.

Would like to see at least one tune up for Gamboa going into a fight like this or I just have a feeling he'll suffer another KO loss.

 

Crawford won the fight because he was able to take big shots from Gamboa early with no real effect. Whether that was because he was a division or 2 bigger or because he has a great chin is unclear, but there's no subtle skill to getting hit clean. You take the punches or you don't.

I think Marriaga was a legit puncher at 126 but "Welters" handled him because of his size and I'd expect the same against Gamboa. Maybe he'll change up but Gamboa never seemed that great as a negative boxer.
