Tough one, because I'm not sure if this thread correctly belongs here or in the movie forum. One thing I do know is I can't get upset about a Road House remake. The story of an asskicking bouncer kicking ass can never get old.

 

Awful movie.

I could just never buy into the idea of that dirty dancing fruit loop playing a tough guy.

he could even act like he was all buff. I couldn't believe the guy from dirty dancing looked so small in this civil war tv saga.

 

North and South? That was a pretty good series.

 

yeah I was pretty young when I saw this and enjoyed it.

 

"Road House" was an enjoyable movie. Not a "good" movie, but an enjoyable one. Funny as fuck if watched in the right context with enough people in the room with you.

 

Either they go all camp with the remake, or they try to make it a serious take on the female dynamic in the male-dominated world of bouncers.

Either way I have a hard time believing this will be anything other then "meh".

If she's the main character they should go all in, and just make it in a lesbian bar (like somebody already mentioned), where Rhonda submits women left and right and sideways with her scissor kick style judo.

 

Somebody should move this to the movie/TV thread. We need Irish's take on this delicate subject. ::
