Herrera didn't "school" Cherry Garcia. The fight coulda gone either way. Personally, I had Danny winning it narrowly. Herrera had that one coming. He got a GIFT over Provo. Provo won about 8 rounds in that fight, yet they gave it to Herrera. Herrera's an extremely overrated fighter. He lost to fuckin Alvarado!

Even at 147 with Shane at his best, I think Hearns blasts him out early to mid rounds. No way Shane makes it out of round 2 if it had been right hands from Hearns landing that flush and that repeatedly.
No. Foster got wrecked by Ernie Terrell...UD'd by Zora Foley...obliterated by Frazier....crushed by Ali. Lewis would liquidate Foster.
Given Benn's suspect chin, suspect stamina, lack of defense and lack of boxing acumen this is no gimme for Benn, not by a long stretch. Jermain Taylor of today? Sure....Benn Wrecks him. Jermaine Taylor who beat Hopkins? Could go either way.
Bullshit! No version of Taylor has any shot in Hell of beating Benn. Even if Taylor DID get Benn in trouble, he's the worst finisher in history, so he ain't putting Benn away. His defense was always horrible, so he isn't avoiding too many of Benn's bombs, and his chin was always mediocre at best, so he isn't taking Benn's power. Benn KO's Taylor 10/10 times. As usual, you have an agenda. You're not defending Taylor, you're defending Hopkins. Taylor would NEVER EVER beat a puncher like Benn. If anything, a better matchup is Pavlik vs Benn.
Roy Jones vs Chavez Jr at 168. Especially the Brannon version of Jones. That would be awesome to watch.
Agenda/Spagenda! You see agendas in your soup, buster. Unlike you Americans, I followed Benn from early days, long before y'all heard of him, and I'm well aware of his limitations. Ever seen the Anthony Logan fight for example? Benn was always chinny. The man could hit like a son of a gun (as Harold Lederman would say) but he had no defense and poor whiskers. Taylor was a decent fighter and certainly capable of beating Benn. Taylor deteriorated quickly after losing to Pavlik and that's all we remember of him but leading up to Hopkins he was known to be a decent fighter.
It would NOT take a prime Roy to beat up Chavez Jr. The Jones that beat Lacy would beat the shit outta Chavez Jr. Actually, I'd rather see Chavez against a older Jones. Older Jones would give him a beating. Whereas young Jones would knock him out within 3.
This is a lie. Before Pavlik most the forum was calling Taylor a fraud waiting to be exposed. Going into the Pavlik fight, MOST the forum picked Pavlik (myself included). Stop trying to pull revisionist bullshit on events that happened not THAATTTT long ago. Once Taylor struggled with Kassim Ouma, and damn near lost to Cory Spinks, we all knew he sucked.
Any post-Tarver Roy was a cowardly cunt who would wilt under enough pressure. I wouldn't pick that version of Roy comfortably over any fighter, including Chavez Jnr.
Benn's one of the 10 biggest punchers in middleweight history. He hardly sucked. He had limited skills, and defense, but his power was unreal. That alone is enough to KO Taylor.
I think you're underestimating how horrible Chavez Jr is. The guy is literally a club fighter who made it on major networks ONLYYYYYY because of who his daddy is. No Chavez Senior, and nobody ever hears of the bum. He's a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE fighter. The Jones that beat Lacy still had enough to beat Chavez Jr up.
Taylor shot his cousin point blank and couldn't finish him. THAT should tell you everything you need to know about Taylor's finishing ability, or lack thereof.
