Is it "easily" the biggest fight in boxing :dunno:

Agreed on HBO. They need this, the Cotto impasse is killing them.

Yup. I said this before. Kellerman even said as much on the last HBO telecast, or strongly hinted at it rather. HBO is clearly hoping Canelo wins - and so do I. Miggy is scared shitless of Golov. Canelo isn't. Make no mistake, Golov will stomp the fuck outta Canelo, but at least Ginger will fight him, and it'll be a HUUUGGEE fight!

You're QUICK to Label Others "Haters" or Mention How Something "Pains" Them, Just Because they Don't OVERREACT to GGG the Way You Customarily Do, Brother X...

You're KNOWN for Exaggerating & this Highlighted Remark of Yours is Close to the TOP of your List of Exaggerations...

    THIS...

X is in Full POM POM Mode, Apparently...He's Speaking of GGG as if he's ALREADY Accomplished Great Things...As if he's ALREADY Amassed a Credible Resume, ALREADY Sold Out MSG Even 1nce, ALREADY Headlined Even 1 Successful PPV, when in Reality, he's Done NONE Of This...

All the While, Miguel Cotto's Done BETTER MSG #'s, on MULTIPLE Occasions, w/Out the Benefit of "Reasonably Priced" Tickets...But when You Present FACTS to GGG Lovers, You Get Labeled a "Hater"....

Hard to Overrate the Stardom of the Guy that's Absolutely OWNED MSG for the Last DECADE, Bruh...Cotto Hasn't just Fought in MSG for 10 Years, he's Done BIG NUMBERS in MSG for 10 Years...

He's Fought Floyd, Pacquiao, Sugar Shane, Margarito, Judah, Martinez AND he's about to Get the BIGGER Slice of the Pie to Face an UNDENIABLE Star by the Name of Canelo Alvarez...

If Anything, You're Grossly UNDERrating How Big of a Star Cotto Is...

i do not think golovkin is a bigger draw than cotto. cotto is reportedly getting 20-30 million dollars for his upcoming fight. i do think golovkin is becoming one of the 5 biggest draws in north america. i doubt cotto does the type of numbers golovkin can on the west coast.

Charging what GGG Charges for Tickets @ the Stub Hub Center, REED has LITTLE Doubt Miguel Cotto Would Sell Out There Also, ESPECIALLY if he Fought a Mexican Opponent, as GGG Did...

if they both fight the same opponent next fight at Staples center golovkin would sell more tix. its premature to consider golovkin a bigger attraction than cotto at this point. but he will outsell the guy on the west coast.

PROBABLY....since Cotto would have defeated Canelo by then......and his tickets would start at $400-500....while that price will be TOP price for GGG's tickets....

Lol. It's funny because people are acting as if Cotto became a crossover star on his own. Cotto became a star after fighting the two biggest stars in the sport - Manny and Floyd established him as a star.

Prior to that, he was known in NY and by Ricans, but really nowhere else.

?? Nobody is saying Cotto became a crossover star on his own....but he was packin in the garden against Malignaggi, Judah and Mosley wayyyy before he fought Maywether or Pacquiao. Sure Mosley was already a name but the best he had done in NY is the theater and a few thousand people...Judah never packed in the garden before the Cotto fight....same for Malignaggi... Cotto was headlining ppv wayyy before he fought those two biggers stars.

HBO and GGG people want Cotto and Canelo to give their chump..CHAMP the same boost Cotto got from Pac and May or Pac got from De La Hoya...or Mayweather got from De La Hoya......difference being that COTTO, May, Pac were establish already as a legit boxing star before stepping into the RING with a PPV star.

just shows at best golovkin is an average sized middleweight in todays day & age, and will be at a definite size disadvantage moving up in weight

    THIS...

GGG's Conglomerate of Male Concubines are Using the Proverbial "2 Headed Dildo" to PLEASURE Themselves...Soooooo he's GOOD Enough to KO Kovalev in Sparring (Allegedly), yet he SHOULDN'T Be Pressured Into Moving Up in Weight, as Opposed to Waiting Around Hoping to Get in the Cotto/Canelo/Floyd Sweepstakes???...

if he does get a fight with alvarez or cotto it will be at least 3 to 4 times the payday he'd get moving up in weight. as a boxing matchmaker you should understand the managerial side of the game, reed.

He's beaten more established contenders at HW but I don't think they were any better than GGG's best opponents. There are always lots of guys at hw with nice looking records and some momentum but they're so consistently garbage it doesn't matter anymore. Someone like Pulev is a perfect example.

Again, You're PLEASURING Yourself w/a "2 Headed Dildo"...

Whenever REED Broaches a LEGITIMATE Complaint w/GGG, You Deviate to the "Business Side" of the Game...If GGG's STRICTLY In this from a BUSINESS Perspective (Which is Certainly his Prerogative), the HYPE Surrounding Dude Should Cease and Desist Immediately...There ISN'T a Current Top 10 Lb for Lb'der w/a WORSE Resume than GGG's...

"Destructive Killing Machine", "KO'ed Kovalev in Sparring", "Most Feared Man in Boxing", Blah, Blah, Blah...You CAN'T Have it Both Ways...If "Nobody Wants to Fight Him", if he's "Feared", if he "KO'ed Kovalev", then Moving Up a Mere 8lbs SHOULDN'T Be Much to Ask...

The HYPE vs. ACCOMPLISHMENTS Ratio is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Out of Sorts in Regards to GGG, & When REED or Others Attempt to Level it Out, YOU Cling to "Business"???...

Beyond that, there's NO Guarantee the Cotto-Canelo Winner EVER Faces GGG, Yet his Conglomerate of Male Concubines are Fine w/Him Doing DICK in the Interim, Anyways...

    Fuck That...

I was just about to say..................GGG is unbeaten, never been on the wrong end of a beating. Klitschko was coming off the Brewster debacle and being floored vs Williamson when he signed to fight Sam Peter, who was something of a GGG himself at the time.

When GGG gets his arse burst and then starts looking for showdowns with heavy-handed lumps who don't know what it is to lose {think Kovalev} or crafty fighters who know how to tie you up in knots {think Ward} then I will respect him.

I would like to say I like how GGG fights, I like his persona and attitude, but right now, as of here and now, he's done nothing to warrant being ranked pfp above a lot of guys and that includes the likes of the admittedly frustrating and flawed younger Klitschko.

I think that's fair comment. I have not come on here knocking GGG as a matter of routine. I think Ward should meet the man half-way. I think Kovalev should not. I think GGG should tell Abel Sanchez to shut up with the gym-tales already.

    Anyone who followed Spaddy vs Floyd knows gym tales are bullshit. Some are real, some presage future events, like Page flooring Tyson before the Douglas fight, but most are utter bullshit which turn on their own facts {so-and-so was in shape, so-and-so was not, etc}
