That must be gutting for Furry, he's surely the unluckiest guy in the sport right now.

The heavyweight scene is improving by the way.

    Calf injury.

Klitschko should have retired after the Haye fight.

Wlad should do like his brother and retire...and let fury, Wilder, Haye and whoever else is out there fight it out to find an undisputed champion....and let the division reset itself.

Feebles - I don't know enough about AJ - has his chin even been tagged for anyone to frown and go "Uh-Oh".

Or is there inside knowledge it might contain Waterford Crystal?

You don't suddenly get good by turning pro. Maybe the guys he fought at the Olympics were better than the guys he's fought as a pro, nowamsaying :dunno:

It amazes me that people simply cannot grasp the fact that it is VERY likely that someone will look like a world beater when they are fighting absolute scrubs. This is the same guy who flat out lost two of the last fights he had against people who were any good at all.

The thing is though, guys like Kevin Johnson and Michael Sprott have caused a lot of more trouble to guys who are seen as useful professionals. Of course, taking trash out impressively is not necessarily the same as beating the best, but it is promising. Also, Joshua looks much better than Lennox or Wlad at this state of their careers. Again, it doesn't mean he achieves as much as them but it is promising. And as far as I know, nobody has called Joshua anything else than promising as of yet. Everybody is unproven at some point

AJ has done as well as anyone could expect him to do against his opposition thus far.

and maybe he's also allot better at 25 with 3 years of pro training than he was at 22 having only begun boxing 3 years previous

Wins over a prime Sprott and Johnson would indeed be good wins. The version of Sprott Joshua beat was 39 years old. Johnson was 36. They are classic examples of 'names' being added to a CV but wins which don't hold up to any real scrutiny. In his 15th fight Lewis fought and stopped Gary Mason - a very solid European level fighter. His next three fights were Mike Weaver, Glenn McCrory and Tyrell Biggs. In his next fight (his 15th) Joshua is fighting a mouthy domestic level scrub. He's fifteen fights in and all anyone can say for sure about him is that has obvious power and puts his punches together very well.

Wouldn't it be nice if his opposition was a bit stronger, though? He's fifteen fights in now - he isn't a five fight novice any more.

I am pretty sure that WK turned pro when he was 4 years younger than AJ, and was fighting Byrd and Barrett by the age of 24.
