Somehow it reminds me a little bit of that Richard Harris 1971 film Man In The Wilderness

It's based on a real person. It's not a remake of that movie, it's a different take on this mans life

I am sure that someone liked 'Man in The Wilderness' enough to say, 'hey, lets do another one! After all most people don't remember that Richard Harris movie!'

Because the movie was full, but this isn't a remake as it's just another take on the real life of this person

    The Grey with bears?

  14. Anthony

    Anthony Admin Staff Member

No. There is one bear. It's mostly a revenge flick.

yeah, i read the wiki page. The guy just wanted his guns back, he forgave both the guys that deserted him.

so it has nothing to do with the real story other than he survives a bear attack.

As Anthony said, completely different movies.

The Revenant is about Leo seeking revenge on Tom Hardy. Hardy is the antagonist in this movie, not the bear.

In The Grey, the wolves were the only antagonists.

For the record, The Grey was a very good movie. Very underrated. WAAAAYYYYY better than any of the stupid ass Taken movies.

The grey is one of my all time favorite movies. It was a drama. And that is Neesons true skill. The taken movies are just action fluff.

Have you seen Walk along the tombstones or Run all night yet?

Yeah it's loosely and I mean prostitute pussy loosely related.

Dont know, maybe he killed the bear.

Yup. I saw both. Both were kinda disappointing to me. Not BAD movies, but not very re-watchable.

The Grey is an excellent movie AND highly re-watchable.

And yes, it is drama, which might be deceiving to those who haven't seen cause it appears to be a Neeson action flick. But nah, the Grey is a very dark and tragic movie, centered around the wolves slaughtering them.

i really liked Walk among the tombstones. I love mystery/detective movies and Neeson was terrific IMO

  25. The fuck is wrong with you sometimes? The first taken film was highly entertaining and the 2nd one was pretty good too.

Anyway...i have to see the Grey, you've convinced me.

The Grey is a great movie, I bought the DVD.

First Taken was decent. It's become overrated to be honest. The other two sucked, IMO.

Yes, see The Grey if you haven't already. It's a damn good flick.

Sure, Anthony...they made a $135 million film with an A list actor and an Academy Award director just for the love of art. :wack:
